What's the standard for being truly free, then?

If you say it like that, it might not even be a good thing, to be so free.

It depends on what you mean by free. Is it free from oppression? Free to do whatever you want? Free from freedom?

The topic and your baseless whining were addressed together. Maybe spend less time skateboarding and more time using better grammar (and language) in your post? You went from telling us half a story in which you were clearly at fault, it didn't even relate to your title, and then bring up illegal immigration. Now you're telling us that we're not on subject? If you want to make a thread about <whatever the point of your thread was (freedom of speech?)> then do so with a better point to prove your case, and don't turn towards hippocracy.

as for calling that lady a "b" that extends a little farther than just freedom of speech. at that point its' abuse. The rest are common sense.... you just cannot seem to see it.

When we say we are "free" it does not mean that we are free to go and do whatever the hell we feel. There are restrictions that prevent the nation from going into full on anarchy.

What you describe is more the law of a third world county. Where idiots get away with what ever they please.

You calling the woman a bitch was way out of line. Now I don't know where you come from, nor do I care. But here in America we treat women with respect and don't treat them like dogs.

You can go to many other places to hang out and skate. (You know, there are things called skate parks.)

The best say I can think to explain it is; You are free to do what you want as long as it doesn't interfere with the wellbeing of other people.

    freedom:
    4. the power to determine action without restraint.

Total freedom would be bad. No freedom is also bad. Somewhere in between, it gets good.

I think the US is just a little bit under the mark.

    Depends on your definitions really.

You gravedug like 5 threads, and you have a Post count average of 31 Posts per day for all 1 days you've been a member.

    Wow...

And about your topic about the press releasing info about government plans... there's a reason they're called Top Secret. They can report on them if the government is going to build a highway, but not an article on who's actually an undercover agent, etc. Thats safety, not slander though, which is what he was talking about in the first post...
