    Uninstalling.

Well I've been downloading alot of new programs and things, trying to get into programming... And I still haven't found one. Now after i download and install something, it shows up on my desktop. But what if i want to uninstall something?

Most programs have an "uninstall" option but some of them on my comp dont.

Ive gone to cp, and "add or remove programs" and some things arnt there either.

So if want to remove something do I just delete the file? will that remove it from my comp, or is it still installed?

If all fails, the only thing you can do is delete the file manually :/
And/or any registry keys that were made during the installation process.

Also, more often than not, the uninstaller is in the installer file itself; try running it, it should detect a previous installation, and give you options to repair the previous installation, or remove it altogether.

Also, not sure if that's what you meant, but check the start menu where the installer should have created a folder; the uninstaller is often located there.

    Uninstalling.

Start Menu > Run > type in regedit and press enter

Look around for your program and it's name, might be under it's publishers name as well.

Once you find it, simply delete it.
