Createing a forums from scratch

Ok im createing a forums from scratch
i just need to know what are the main things i need?
or if u could give me a link that can help me that would be very nice XD so please post or add my msn i will be looking for ppl to help me aswell xD

Well you are going to need to use a web based language such as PHP or Perl. Also, if you have never coded either before, don't attempt to do this, it will just end up really badly, if it ever finished. You must learn a language first before you decide to make things in it. If you actually know either of them, you going to want to pick a database type, MySQL or Postgresql should do, no real need to pick enterprise databases. You going to need to know how to connect, select certain strings, pass them to local arrays/variables, and display them in a proper order. If you have no idea what I've told you, you best not even attempt this.

 

Yes i do understand do you know where i can leanrn php i cba to search it in google cause all i get is stupid hosting sites and stuff :s

Ahh, I recently have been running it open after discovering a hole in wordpress, I left it running a bit to see how many script kiddies would try to "hack" it, all they could do was upload a custom index.html, which for some stupid reason takes default index over index.php, but anyways, I think he wont try that again, stupid kiddie didn't even update windows and opened an image in my imagehoster that I forgot existed and I woke up to an old RAT had a connection so I screwed with him for a while, and hes not really from turkey, somewhere in the states.

Modifying code is useless if you don't understand the language. The farthest he could get is changing strings, and maybe how things look, that's all; he doesn't know PHP.
