Cost to max?

Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to currently on oldschool for each buyable and how people make the gp to afford it? I saw AutumnElegy's guide and he says to do slayer last but thats where I thought most the money would come from

Best way to make money is in the blackmarket (doing services for example). Total amount of money needed for max is like 500-600M if I have to make an educated guess.

 

Depends on what you do if u do the fastest methods it will be like 1b

 

the way autumn elegy does slayer is that he loses money instead of profits thats why he does it last also you can use crystalmathlabs to check the cost from 99 on a certain method

Torvesta shows how to buy out RCing, Cons, Minuing, Farming, and some more buyable skills with insane xp rates in this vid, but it is very costly. (300k xp/h rcing, 300k str xp/h, etc.)

Surely you would be right in thinking slayer would provide you the money to max all others. I don't believe some of these guideS online..

 

That's true I guess a goal of mine should be fremmy hard for tan leather and get 90+ magic that way, but also want to burst and barrage tasks

Think it is because you wouldn't make enough money from slayer alone to fund everything until you can do hellhound tasks at cerberus as before that level and after you would need to spend a lot on prayer potions, cannonballs, barrage/burst runes and super combat potions etc, that's just what I think though might be wrong

Slayer was one of my first and favorite 99, I made around 200m or so. I cannoned most tasks as well, and I still ended up green at 99. This was before Nieve's Cave got reworked and before you had to actually travel places though. Now I just "like" the skill. =/ As for getting money to buy some of the buyables, I got probably 40m+ range xp at wyverns over 4 different accounts. Very easy to afk there and it's a steady 300-500k/h per account depending on gear/range lvl. Chunks of that got lost at DA though.

Cooking/Fletching/Mining/Fishing/Firemaking were all 99s that made me a decent bit of change as well. DKs and Bandos made up for the rest of it. I'd say staking helped too, but when I went up and ran with my winnings for a few days, I'd be back later to lose the winnings and then some so it probably didn't help me much.

I'd say get 99 slayer first, get as close to max melee/range(cannon/bp tasks)/and mage(burst tasks) doing that as well, then once that's completed, do the afk resource gathering/making skills I listed above to 99 for a nice bit of cash, and work from there.

If I didn't get bored of the game, I'd only have to get about 200m to buy 99 con and around 100m to buy 99 herb to finish up my buyables. I would've probably did that at DKs since I have fremmy elite and they are easy to solo. If I wasn't unlucky, it'd be 3 free pets as well. Stay away from DA too, I would've probably already gotten buyables/even closer to max done if I wasn't cleaned repeatedly which made me rq and take 3+ month breaks lol.
