Nice progress man. I have a question. How much does playing HCIM affect the way you play (intensity, focus, etc) vs just a normal iron account?

 

Thanks man. The main things that change when playing my HC vs playing my regular ironman are the methods I use to train certain stats and the stat requirements for certain quests. For example I'm 86 combat and just finished Desert Treasure, and on my iron I did it around 70 combat. You can't AFK unless you're absolutely certain you're in a safespot so it's kinda annoying logging out for smoke breaks every hour lol. But other than those two things, along with the fact that I won't be doing most bosses, it's pretty much the same as playing a regular ironman.

5th 99, Cooking! Had 61k grapes from doing 99 Farming at Tithe and used em up in a few days, also about 5k raw sharks sitting in the bank that I was finally able to use up. Few other levels here and there.
Knocked out 153 Kudos in preparation for Fossil Island (which included finishing Desert Treasure, another item off the slayer prep list)

 

Nice! What are the bosses that you won't be doing? And are you not doing them just because of the chance of dying?

What about the giant mole/HCIM meme?

 

I won't be doing Cerb, Zulrah, or GWD. I'll still do mole but I'm leaving melee pray up the whole time and not using piety though so if I miss Piety and click Redemption or something I don't lose overheads and die haha

 

Interesting. If I made a HCIM, I'd probably want to do some GWD, but definitely not Cerb or Zulrah. Don't die to the mole!

 

How long did farming take u at tithe?

 

How do u even get 99farming on an ironman.. let alone a HCIM

Is it really good farming XP? I am only 66 on my main l000l it's so damn slow..

 

2 weeks, about 100 hours, I no-lifed it lol

113k xp/hr, it's not really worth doing on mains (best to just do tree / fruit tree runs)

 

I died, Fossil Island is a HCIM deathtrap.

There's a mushroom you jump on to bounce yourself to the mushroom WCing area, it deals you 45 damage. They give you a warning for that, and I knew ahead of time it'd hit me hard. What they don't give you a warning for is the Tar Monsters. Apparently a lot of people have figured out they hang out in the swamp, but I just woke up and was exploring. So I cut a full inv of mushrooms to test it out, then ran south to leave to the bank where a tar monster (random ass creature that appears out of thin air) hits me for a double 9 to KO me. They put all kinds of shit in there to intentionally kill HC's, definitely stay as far away from it as possible if you're a hardcore.

Been a fun run, thanks everyone for the kind words and shit, I'm a lil upset at how it ended (you can hear the excitement in Weasley's voice in the last Q&A when talking about bringing back dangerous randoms to kill HC's, which leads me to believe they made a lot of this new content with killing HCIM in mind lol), but it was a cool adventure and I lasted longer than I expected to.

I was only there for about ten minutes, wandering around looking for something to do (it's all very confusing and they didn't explain very well) when I found the mushroom woodcutting area that killed me. That's really the only thing I had the chance to do before dying
