Guide to 60+ fishing (abridged)

Alright to begin your level 1 fishing wondering, am i supposed to catch those stupid squirrels with this net? Of course not... take your small fishing net and run from lumbridge castle northwest to Port sarim and buy a fishing rod, and fly rod, about 400 fish bait, and 1000 feathers (optional) this will be explained later. Head to draynor village then go south along the coast until u come across a fishing spot. Start fishing shrimp until level 10 then catch sardine and herring with your fishing rod and bait until level 20.

Once you reach level 20 fishing go buy a fly fishing rod in Port Sarim. You can also buy feathers their as you will need A LOT of feathers to be succesfull in powerleveling fishing. Alternatively you can go kill chickens. To start you will need about 1000 feathers.

Once you have your 1000 feathers you will need to go just west of the gate to Al Kharid by the shack full of goblns and start fishing trout there. This is the point where you have to decide for yourself what your going to do.

(option B. Run across the bridge to the northwest and sell your cooked/uncooked fish to the general store.

(option C. Run west to lumbridge castle and bank fish on the third floor bank (not reccomended)

If you do option B or C it will take longer but it will build up money possibly saving you the time of having to gather feathers manually. Though I still reccomend option A.

When you begin to start catching salmon then the xp really starts to pour in as you can catch trout/salmon more than 3 times quicker than tuna/swordfish. I reccomend getting to at least 60 before beggining to catch anything but trout/salmon.
