    The Ten Commandments

I can answer that. Before I begin, I'm a Christain/Baptist, but you may believe something else.

I learned that God does not place a "worst sin". For example, if I killed a guy, and stole some Pokemon cards at the store, God will punish you about the same way. Now some may be wondering that it seems impossible, but our laws aren't the same as Gods.

It's kind of confusing to understand overall, but that's basically the main point. Now don't try to take advantage of it; If you haven't swore to God before, don't start now because that's obviously not good for you, right?

    The Ten Commandments

Well i am not an expert on the bible but i recall being taught you only go to hell for a mortal sin in order for it to be this you have to

be aware of its significance and know that it is the wrong thing
    has to be VERY serious
    has to be planned out

now according to this jews muslims etc. dont know that what they believe in is "wrong" if you will. since they think that their religion is right they are not committing a mortal sin.

Therefore they will not go to hell

    The Ten Commandments

If you believe that you can get away with killing someone then your interpretation of religion isn't pure.

    The Ten Commandments

In God's eyes sin is sin. Murder or Theft = Death.

Edit: Also in God's eyes if you even THINK about the sin, you might as well commit it since it wages the same.

    The Ten Commandments

Not entirely true. This is only true in some cases with certain sins.

Yes, if you lust after your neighbors husband/wife you have already committed the sin, however, sin such as theft can be contemplated without being committed and rely solely on the choice and action of the individual to become sin.

    The Ten Commandments

According to Ray Comfort, just thinking about committing the sin is sin itself.

There is no pleasing God - he's the father that just isn't proud of you.

    The Ten Commandments

Another one of these lame threads where religions get flamed..
now listen all you froobs with lame replies.

the 10 commandments are a set of rules set in the bible, a life time guidelines of rules by God.

not by the government, not including fines, but as a result of bad hope in the afterlife in heaven. this is karma.

muslims, jews and any other religious groups have their own GOD which means they don't all beleive in one God like us catholics. and have differant unique beleifs

we all have faith and beleive in differant things.

so before you all start flaming each religion is differant.

also each commandment is equally the same, so adultry is the same punishment of murder.

    The Ten Commandments

    That is VERY contradicting.
Aren't God, Jesus, Holy Spirit [ ghost ] all the same person...
If so why is it that if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit it is a greater sin?

    The Ten Commandments

You know nothing about how God deals with sin. God doesn't base his punishments like the world deals with people breaking the Law. This means that God punishes congruently with every committed sin(Though I'm still unsure about the quote Wendy made.). Of course, the punishments can range from mild, to severe.

    The Ten Commandments

Well, In our Coptic Orthodox belief there is only 1 Worst sin, and that is the "unforgivable" sin, and thats speaking ill of the holy spirit, However in todays society Murder is worse then stealing as stealing ur just taking something, murder ur taking ones life, besides the world isnt made of christians..
