Addiction to drugs

This is a simple scientific fact, cigarettes are addictive, no matter what people tell you, because of the fact that nicotine naturally exists in it. Although some people may have stopped smoking easily, it will always leave a side effect that will be regrettable.

Marijuana on the other hand, is not addictive. But it increases your chance of trying other drugs by 42%, because after using it so much, it stops getting you high- therefore you move on to other drugs.

Addiction DOES exist. Plain and simple.

 

There are chemicals in ciggarettes in which make your system crave for it.
It's like it creates a new pattern in your system,
for example your heart needs blood, your stsem needs nicotene etc.
It's just like any acid drink, they're addictive.
once your body gets used to something, it will stay like that untill u fight it off

 

Marijuana isnt addicting, but others are from experience. My dad was a successfull engineer till he did cocain, now hes just some looser I haven't talked to in 6 years.

 

ciggaretes are addicting marijuana on the other hand is not physically addicting maybe mentally bc u like the feeling but its not needed by the body

 

cigrattes are addictive and nasty
marajuana isnt that bad ive done it about id say 10 times
and im not addicticed and i dont feel that i crave it

 

Marijuana is addicting.
THC, the main chemical in marijuana is stored in the fat cells. The highest concentration of fat cells is around the brain.
Fat cells are also the slowest moving cells in the body.
Marijuana is physically and mentally addicting, but the physical withdrawal symptoms are not felt because the fat cells move so slow that the thc does not completely leave the body when the high wears off and gradually fades.

I am a frequent user and I am giving an unbiased oppinion.

To all the people that say marijuana is not addicting, they are wrong. I have been smoking marijuana for about 16 months now and i can't go 2 days without having marijuana. Marijuana is a very addicting drug and hard to come off of.

 

Basically, some people are stronger than others. Most people HAVE the power and mental ability to stop , but they don't. People lie just to hide the fact from themselves that they don't have a problem. Drugs are addicting to those who in the inside want it.

Drugs do not usually have a physically addicting characteristic to them, marijuana and cigarettes are mental addictions and can usually be controlled, i smoke cigarettes only once in a while and a pack will usually last me around a week, weed on the other hand is cheap where i live so i usually smoke to much of that :O

 

The true fact to addiction is that some people can control it while other can not.

 

Addiction is not all mental, it's physical. It's why they offer quick detox plans if you're really that far in

Of course, I haven't been addicted to anything... and I suppose you haven't either.

 

not addicting at all i smoked 2 cigarets and never came back too it

 

have done weed/lsd/shrooms and there about as addicting as candy... but for methenphedamenes and cocane is on a way different scale

 

Marajuiana is not as addictive as Cigarette's.
Because, Marajuiana has natural essences inside it. Because if you grow it you know that is grown naturally. With nothing added.

But With cigarette's your buying them in packets with them already made. They've got stuff you cant even imagine in them.Mostly addictive stuff.
And if you addicted you dont care whats inside them.

It's the same with ecstasy tablets. People make them homemade.
Alot of them are bad/Fixed with stuff your not supposed to have inside of them.
But if you hooked on ecstasy your not going to care until you've got a bad one.Then your going to learn to not take them, Unless you make them ...Or your stupid.

Marijuana is ABSOLUTELY not addictive. I've tried marijuana maybe a couple times, and I'm definitely not addicted.

I've know for a fact it is extremely hard to quit smoking cigarettes. But I heard that a cigarette craving only lasts a few minutes, and if you get past that few minutes by chewing gum or something, you're fine. But it takes that MENTAL power to be able to handle those 4 or 5 minutes without a cigarette.

Alcoholism is a forever lasting addiction. Once you become an alcoholic once, and you recover and say you've been sober for 10 years, alcohol is your worst nightmare. Even if you took a small amount just like one beer or something like that, it could ruin your progress of 10 years of sobriety.

 

What the fuck is that man?!?! You can't trust them because they smoke pot? Thats bull shit man....

Oh yeah, I think addiction is all in the mind. You can stop if you want but most people don't have the will power.

 

I first smoked marijuana on April 20th 2007 while i was in 7th grade. Smoked it five times that month. Quit till mid august 2007. Then smoked every saturday in september 2007. Quit until December 15th and havent smoked since. Im on and off usually just smoke at partys. So I wouldnt say im addicted.
