Instead of making Crapy updates like these that will totally ruin the game.
If you can’t beat them, join them.

 

Jagex makes most of their profit from members and therefore the majority of profit is from members that renew every month.

As Jagex explained in their article buying gold tends to make the game easier and cause people to not play it for as long as they would. They won't sell gold in an effort to keep people playing and renewing members as long as possible.
