Seeking Work Experience

NOT SEEKING PAYMENT - I just want to work with professional people.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right or wrong section to post this. However, I'm a Graphics Designer who started designing late 2013. I'm 20 years old and currently a Graphics student in University. I'm aspiring to become a professional UI/UX Designer as I've been practicing the subject for quite sometime now. It is my dream to become a professional in that field.

I'm seeking work experience with a group of people or someone that I can do UI/UX Design for. Which means websites and apps primarily. I have freelanced and done work for over 1200 customers so far and I'm very passionate about what I do.

I'm really desiring to work on a UI/UX based project such as designing a phone app or a website at industry standards. I've been reading recently quite often on UI/UX and now I want to apply some of the things I learned for education & practice purposes. From making wireframes & mockups to completed products. Sketches, researching, and experimenting is part of the process.

My only condition is to have a reference letter written/given to me for the work that I produce, this is to help me in future employment when I graduate in 3 years time.

I'd suggest talking to a gold site and offering your services there, they're businesses and would love to have some free work done on their sites. It's better than making profile pictures for people and asking for professional references from them.

I want to know how much you can earn as a GD, can anyone answer this?

 

Probably wouldn't hurt to search for a community/forum based website.
