How to become a RS Playe Moderator Guide​

A lot of people want to become player moderators, to have the power, the fame, to be able to talk to jagex mods, well in this guide (hopefully) I will show you some ways to become one yourself!

First of all, Jagex only picks trusted runescape players. That does not mean you have to be playing very very long, they don't care how long you play. I've known someone who was modded 3 months into play.

Yes, Jagex moderators take recs. into consideration, but they don't just read the rec. and say "Hey look this pmod thinks this kid should be a pmod, lets mod him" If they get tipped off and good pmods, they start researching that player.


If you have any blackmarks, it does not end your chances of being chosen, it just lowers them. Unless the black marks are from very long ago, because Jagex usually looks at most recent things.



Ok, now on to the guide...


Jagex wants player moderators to help keep order in runescape. Basically, they have them to report abuse and mute. They are trusted reporters.

Report a lot. But don't just sit in lumbridge reporting people, play the game! Once in while you could sit in lumbridge to report advertisers, etc.

Side note: Asking for a boyfriend & girlfriend is reportable.

Here's a tip!: If you are able to woodcutt willow trees, go into F2P, go to the four willow trees in Port Saramin, and cut the lower left tree. No bots cut that one tree for some reason. While cutting that, report the autoers! You get wc xp and reported bots!



Being nice to other players could help a lot as well. When I say this, it DOES NOT MEAN going into lumbridge F2P and giving new commers free items! THAT WILL ONLY WANT THEM TO BEG MORE! Jagex's aim is to get people to play the game, not to beg to play. Help them out by showing them around, giving them tips, etc.




Good Grammer & Being mature helps greatly. Sure, you don't need perfect grammer to get modded, I have tons of pmod friends with shitty grammer (ie: u, wtf) but being mature is a 95% MUST. Jagex does not want immature brats to be on the team of mods. Sure, you could goof off from time to time, but you must have your serious moments.



Having player moderator friends helps a lot too. Like I stated earlier, recs could help you be watched more.

I doubt he is a pmod, and jagex Dosen't care if the people are good mods or not, they care if they have bought memberships alot.


Why else would someone get mod, because THEY GIVE JAGEX MONEY!.

Nice guide - A mate at a club i go to is a player mod, and I was trying to persuade him to start macroing, as he probably wont get caught (If he did he could probably get out of it too lol) XD

dude i have been trying to become a player mod since i started playing I have done everything that your guide states and it still hasnt came through so maybe they dont want me to be a mod.
