I did think about a reward for shinies, something like the highest iv reward, but I chose not to do so when making the event

It doesn't u gotta catch the feebas yourself so it has your OT

 

You could also buy a Feebas off the GTL and breed it. You'll be the OT then, but it won't count towards your Pokédex.

Cheat schmeat. The fact people are allowed to use bred Pokemon for the tournament feels like cheating to me, lol. But hey, to each their own.
