Additional details/story:

I am contacting you to appeal a ban and TWC I received today. I was reported by an ex-admin called Astro after a failed attempt at trading. This is what happened:


Astro’s argument was that I had faked vouches, which implies that I was creating fraudulent vouches. However, this is unrelated to the mistaken vouches which was actually the problem he reported me for today, and suggests there are many inconsistencies in his report and story.
Astro’s reasoning for reporting me was that I was suspicious, and that there were a few “fake” vouches in my otherwise extensive list of 1000+ legitimate vouches. Even after removing the mistaken vouches from the vouch list, I would still have “1000+ Vouches”, as I have claimed on my thread. I personally went into my threads and counted every single vouch to make sure the count was accurate. I found 9 mistakes in total (including those reported by Astro), so I still stand at 1040+ vouches, and I only claim 1000+ in my thread. In no way have I falsely over-represented my vouch count. It is clear from the chat log that Astro’s intention behind reporting me and getting me banned was out of spite. He was spiteful because I refused to go first, which he took as a personal insult, and he used a few mistakes I had made in copy/pasting a non-vouch into the vouch thread as a disproportionate hinge for his own case. He relied on personal ties to achieve this. Furthermore, he called me a ‘scammer’, which is a completely baseless, defamatory assertion for which there is no evidence whatsoever.

My copy/pasting error was an honest mistake, and in the grand scheme of things (my many great vouches over a 5 month period), it is clear that this simple error does not warrant a ban. I do need to be careful, but as you know it is quite a process quoting hundreds of posts to add into the vouch list, and a few mistakes do slip by. I am not trying to excuse myself for making these mistakes. I am just trying to explain my side of the story.

I hope that the Staff will take both Astro’s obvious intentions, and the relative insignificance of the errors compared with the hard work I have been putting into the Sythe community, as a good reason to unban me and lift the TWC label. The huge amount of support I am getting following this ban is proof enough that I have always been honest and dedicated to the Sythe community. I don’t want this tiny issue to get in the way of a business I have tried to make successful from the very start. Thank you in advance for reviewing this case. I hope we can agree that the ban was disproportionate response to what happened, and clear the matter up.

He asked if I mind going first, I brought up my 1K vouches as compared to his.
I said I wouldn’t go first
He went on about how vouches mean nothing
I told him he can trade with someone else
