aka karma. i fully support this because we can tell who are the scammers/ good members, so we can tell them apart. it would be a good addition to sythe.

I think there was a rep system for a while, but it was completely abused.

Better off without it.

 

agreed, although perhaps it could be set up like a vouch system... I mean people use vouches to gauge peoples "trustworthiness" (sp?) a reputation system that would enable you to leave notes such as vouches and info on trades wouldny bee too bad...

but overall i dont think we need it...

 

There's something called iTrader on the other forum. It allows you to vouch, give negative, positive etc. Just like eBay.

 

yea its in fagex.net. its a really good system but it might be abused. people make alot of accounts and put fake itraders or rep?

Actually, the vBulletin user reputation system was changed so that only admins and global mods could give out reputation - to prevent abuse, obviously. It was disabled after the hack, but it's not a big deal really.

 

If you want to see who the scammers are, just look for the *BANNED* Next to their name >_>

 

Meh maybe. But as someone else said, staff members should be the only people able to give rep.

 

I know that we have a reputation system at RSF, and people are crazy for it. I personally think it really gets people into writting guides, and helping out, but it should not be a symbol of how much someone is trusted, just how much respect they have.

On the note of I-trader, it is a really useful tool, that helps people decide if a person can be trusted or not.

And as someone else said, I belive there was one on these forums, but it was abused. An iTrader sounds like quite a good idea, and nobody would probably just randomly give negative feedback with a retarded comment.

 

Itrader is currently used at www.no-wai.org. Works great, think would be great for the forums.

 

No need, if your going to trade use an MM. Thats what they are here for, to ensure a safe trade.

We had a comment system very long ago, which did get abused. So there is really no need with this, to much hassle.

well a good way to do a system like this would be giving +rep or - rep, but you have to post proof(pics) so when people wants to see what trusted that person is, they can see if there is proof of scammer or trusted. I also think that the more trusted a person is he can give more +rep or -rep, and leechers and members with less than 50 (as and example) shouldnt be able to use this system. Also you can only + rep or - rep a person if you have at least 3 months in sythe (not multi-accounts) and you can only + rep or -rep twice a day or something like that....

but there would be many abusers. might be some way around it but..
