    You Can't See Glass...

Ok well I was messing with my little brother telling him how he cannot see glass. And he would look at the window and say yes I can see it. Well he was looking at the dirt on the glass or light reflection or impurities. Glass is completely transparent...You cannot see glass, Just what is on it, on the other side of it, what its reflection, or impurities in it. Right?

Just saying....I know someones will write a long explanation how you can see glass. Im just saying its one of those things if you dwell on too long youll go insane...

Some parts of glass can distort the light that travels through them, such as when viewed close to the edges, etc. That is another way you can view glass.

Yes its true you can only see the reflection or the light distortion and also things on the glass. But If the glass is vibrating you would be able to slightly see it, Maybe if there was a slight temeparure change it would make it visible as well.

    Glass is truely amazing.

Well i think it depends if you know that it's there or not. If you didn't know that glass was there you wouldn't see it but if you knew it was there you would see it. It just depends if you recognize if it's there or not, also if it's bright and the light reflects your bound to see it but if you in a pitch black room you not going to see it.

I've never heard of this one before, when you go to browse glass at a shop you expect it to be clean right? So, basically they make the glass dirty so you can see it? ;o

    Interesting fact though.

glass is made from sand. Therefore it isn't a glitch in the matrix or a force field....

Glass is visible. things are visible because light falls on it, and reflects, the same way as glass, therefor it's visible.
If you have the most purest glass, it is still visible, but because it is transparant, you can sometimes hardly see it from a distance.

Remember kids, invisible isn't the same thing as transparent

Glass is sometimes created naturally from volcanic magma. This glass is called obsidian, and is usually black with impurities. Obsidian is a raw material for flintknappers, who have used it to make extremely sharp knives since the stone age.

The known manufacture of glass dates back to 3000 BC and glass technology is widely used in the modern day in household objects such as bottles, mirrors, windows and light bulbs. The most common method for glass pane production is using molten tin, where the molten glass floats on top of the perfectly flat molten tin, thus giving it the name "float glass". The refractive, reflective and transmission properties of glass make specific chemical compostitions suitable for technological applications such as optics and optoelectronics. The manipulation of heated glass enables it to be shaped into different forms and the incorporation of additives at the manufacturing stage produces different colors which enable glass to be used as an art medium for display purposes.

Read that on Wikipedia, hope that helps.

So the actions leading up to a BSOD and/or system crash prove a glitch doesn't exist? Nay, they define the glitch.
And the glitch could be the creation of a force field... so nothing have been proven. But a force field would be unlikely, those usually need to be triggered by living entities.
But it's just plain wrong to say we can only see light. That's silly, 'seeing' is the descriptive product brought about by the reflections of the light, so it's the courier - not the product.
And things can been seen without light, just not with the eye.
