Haha wow, that's awesome. The setup looks pretty cool, but the real question is, How did it taste?

The cheapest vodka in the U.S. (that I've seen) is Zhenkha, which is only around $8 a bottle. And they're fairly-big sized bottles, too.

 

But it tastes like shit.. lol.

Anyway, how did it taste? (Your homemade vodka I mean.)

Ok this will be hard to explain in English since there are advanced terms I use when explaining this in Swedish that I don't know in English, But here we go:
Why people say that you can go blind if you drink it is because if you buy it from some random guy it could be 'Industry Alcohol' (Translated from Swedish lol, dunno the English word).
That alcohol tastes, looks and smells exactly like the moonshine but it will harm your body. You can go blind or die and it happens to 1 out of 3 persons.

But if you drink the real moonshine made from yeast, sugar and water. Nothing can happen.
The distillation does not create any new substance. It only separates the substances.

It's impossible to fail.




And about the taste. It was ok. I've tasted better moonshine but can't be bothered to do it better ^^

Did you ever do the flash test? Where you flick some of the alcohol on a flame?
I'm curious because if you got decent results this is something I am going to try, another illegal task on my daily list called life lol.

 

I was thinking of when you distill vodka from potatoes, you have to run the alcohol through a certain form of carbon to filter out the rubbing alcohol.
