Windows mainly because it has the capability to run most programs and apps. ALso because its so easy to understand and use.

Linux is probably one of the more proffesional ones though.

    Linux.

Linux is very VERY efficient with its resource and CPU management, meaning if you had some shit specs it wouldn't matter. Also - Linux has counterparts for most Windows programs, its just that people get confused because instead of "Microsoft Office" it is "OpenOffice". Linux is not intended to be used for gaming though.

I use Windows on my desktop ONLY because I use it to play games.

    I'd love a Mac ...

Windows always is the best, I don't care about the hardware side, its simple to use and efficient for what I need it for.

*throws head back and laughs* Simple? Efficient? Dude you needa lay off the crack :p

It may seem simple, but with the amount of problems it has caused me (and trust me, I'm not a dumbass either), I'm surprised the tech's at the store don't get more fixing jobs because "Microsoft word isn't working" or "Why won't my computer boot".

And calling it efficient is just plain dumb xD

Vista has a good design, and most of the bus I experienced in XP seem to have been weeded out, however. I was, though, extremely pissed off when the disk cleanup tool deleted every single thing off my harddrive including Windows itself. I doubt that was meant to happen. Not happy Microsoft.

Vista is a sign that Windows is on its way to being good, but right now its just average, and I only use it to play games. I have Linux installed on my laptop, and if I wish to do any office-work, multi-platform programming (java etc.), or just plain general use, I will use my laptop whenever possible for these tasks.

I sense x9 coming here with an obsolete counter-argument such as "Linux isn't good for the end-user, its too easy to fuck up". I guess people don't have a brain, but personally, when I first fucked it up via way of too much modification (did you ever do this when you were first introduced to Windows? No) I just googled the problem (xorg had crashed) and replaced my xorg.conf with a backup.

    Anyways. I'm out.

I had to compile wifi drivers myself with certain mods prior to installing them on Linux. Not to mention other changes to get all hardware functioning well.
So you can certainly say Windows is easier than Linux.

    Mac VS Windows VS Linux

When I first loaded Ubuntu on my laptop, it automatically found drivers for my wireless card and video card. I managed to add a network printer (and drivers) with much greater ease than with Windows.

I suppose it depends on a lot of things, but my experience with Linux has been favorable.

    Mac VS Windows VS Linux

Those 'facts' on why Macs supposably suck are lacking in truth. Those videos were probably made with Macs for fucks sake.

Macs are much more functional than Windows, I can say that much. Never had one crash on me, always enjoyed using the interface, and always found that the Mac counterparts of Windows programs are generally superior. Mac is built upon a UNIX frame as well, meaning it has less (probably no) chance of being ridden with viruses. Windows on the other hand is based upon DOS - Disk Operating System. DOS is a piece of shit to the finer degree, and considering the millions of exploits found in Windows, I want to know why Microsoft still uses the DOS base in the first place.

As I said, Vista is alright, but in the long run, I'll always choose a Mac or Linux machine over Windows. I don't know, maybe its because I use computers for hours each day, maybe its because I develop for computers, maybe its because I put in the effort to work things out by myself without referencing online sources, but since I first used Linux 3 years ago, its always been superior for me.
