I know right... like I get CP3 is a floor general, and a great defender, but do you expect a 32 year old Chris Paul to get you over the hump? You lose an even better defender in Patrick Beverly who's younger, and is just as good asset considering James Harden has the ball a majority of the time, and you lose a pick along with almost sixth man Lou Will, and promising rookie Sam Dekker. Bad trade in the long term for the Rockets.

 

I would have been questioning the trade even without the draft pick. The draft pick makes them certifiably insane.

Definitely agree with you on that. It's funny people think they're the best backcourt (and I'm not a Warriors fan) considering Stephen Curry has been cooking CP3 for the past couple years, and Klay Thompson can stop Harden anytime he wants to, and can score at will when needed to.

 

That's another thing, CP3 and Harden shrink in the biggest moments, always have, maybe always will. So it's not like they're increasing their clutch factor either.

Patrick Beverley is being MASSIVELY underappreciated in all of this.

Yeah Beverly is way better for them to keep, then to give up all of the assets they gave. So stupid because this move doesn't even put them past the Spurs, let alone the Warriors. Their long term is fucked up now because they gave too much away for an aging veteran. Bad move overall, but we'll see how good it plays it out I guess.

 

NBA players make way too much money. On what planet is Blake Griffin worth 5 yrs / 173M...this one apparently
