Anyone Know Anything About Computers?

Heres the deal, i got a computer cheap off my friend 150 aud xD with a brand new wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. Its an optiplex GX620 tower and the person who i bought it off was a bit of a computer neeb like myself. His friend installed a chinese version of windows xp and none of the drivers work. So basically does anyone know where i can download the factory install discs for a DELL OPTIPLEX GX6220?

I will e-sex anyone who finds the software i need.

So he installed xp in Chinese? Copy the drivers over to a Flash disk, install an English version of XP, and insert the drivers into the drivers folder.

 

Go to the Dell site and all the drivers should be on there, download like Cool said then install English XP etc. When you've done that, put the drivers in and then restart your PC. After that, it should be working fine.

 

I spent like 4 days downloading english xp and it didn't install. Waste of 4 days lol (slow internet lol). Drivers will be easy if im not lazy i guess.

 

Try asking a friend for a copy of XP or something, no point in downloading. Half of them don't usually work. Easier on you and your PC.

 

The version i downloaded is a uif file. What the hell is that? lol.

 

I honestly don't have a clue, but umm. Did you get it from a Warez site? I'd personaly go legit on this sort of stuff, i.e borrow from a friend or buy a copy. Whats more ag-ravting then having a new PC this isn't cut out as what it says on the box.

I'll try find out what a .uif is, give me a minute.

I don't think you've downloaded the right file.

 

Isn't there a way you can choose the language on your windows?
[ I am not pro at computers but know a little ]
Also, is this a warez thing or legal thing?

 

There is, but this half assed chinese windows doesn't do it. I talked to atomic the computer whiz a while ago he guided me through it and how to download windows etc. But the windows i got = failure.

 

Is this a crack/warez/legit version of windows?

 

Why not just google it? google ftw.

Lol there was a point to me rolling my eyes xD. There is no "legal" way lol.

 

UIF is an extension, download Magic ISO and mount it. Then open "My Computer" and there should be a driver which says "Windows XP" or w/e, double click and install. Viola. And I suggest you go to a local dell store and ask them for the drivers.
