Get Knowledgeable About Pures v.2

Hybrids.
Hybrids, are a combination of all three types of pures, Str, Range, and Mage. They have 1 defense, and often about 31 prayer. Usual P2P pking stats are 60 Attack, 70+ Str, 70+ range, and 85+ magic, usually on ancients (Desert Treasure quest). These pures usually PK, because they are even out in all their stats. You can PK with DDS and Ancients, Range and Ancients, or all three. I HIGHLY recommend not to pk with ancients only on this type of pure.

How To Pk with this pure and what to bring:

This is a very good pure to pk with.
If you are using range with ancient magik, What you should bring is;

Head: Ghostly Hood or Wizard hat
Legs: Ghostly Legs, or black dragon hide chaps
Ammy: Glory
Ring: Recoil
Boots: Climbing
Shield: N/A
Gloves: Black Dragon Hide Vambs
Cape: God Cape/ Any
Arrows: Rune Arrows
Weapon: Mage Short Bow
Body: Ghostly Body

If you decide to bring Melee instead of range, replace the bow with a Dds, and the shield with an Unholy Book.

Inventory should consist of; One Range potion, One Dragon Scimitar, 2 recoils, Runes for your spells, Telly Tab (Hey, Telly away if you're about to die, so what? they aren't good enough to kill you fast enough " and fill the rest with sharks.


Initiate Pures
"Init Pure" are pures, with 20 defense. There are usually most Melee based init. pures, however some even have ancients. Recommended stats of a Melee based Initiate pure are 70 Attack, 75+ str, 52 Prayer, 20 Defense, and it usually doesn't matter with Range and Mage, however if you want to add a little "spice" in your pure, get ancients too with 85 mage for Ice Blitz

Boots: Climbing
Shield: Unholy Book
Gloves: Dragon Hide Vambs
Cape: God Cape/Any
Arrows: Doesn't matter, unless you're ranging/
Weapon: Whip
Body: Initiate Plate

Inventory should consist of;
DDS, super set, a few prayer potions, Telly Tab, 2 recoils, and the rest sharks.

Rune Pures
Ah, yes, the "R00N" Pure. These are pures, with 45 defense. These pures are very good in Edge Pking, but I wouldn't test my luck in Varrok, Because as soon as a team Spots your valuable loot, they'll pile you, So you're best fit to 1 vs. 1 fights. Ideal stats are 70 Attack, 80+ Str, 45 Defense, 52 Prayer, around 80 hp, And their Range/Mage doesn't really matter. Bear in mind, your HP may vary, but it's okay. Combat Level is usually around 80-90, and and pretty profitable if you know how to use them.

Gloves: Rune gloves
Cape: Any.
Arrows: N/A
Weapon: Whip
Body: Fighter Torso

Inventory; One DDS, a super set, some prayer potions, a telly tab, and the rest Sharks.

Barrows Pures
Barrows pure, given their name by 70 Defense for barrows Armour (Hence the name >.>). These pures are very good in Edgeville, but also VERY costly. They usually have 70+ Attack, 70+ str, and 70 Defense or a few levels higher. These are very good when given the preferable equipment, and very profitable. Once again, these are Edgeville Pkers, and not Multi combat pkers. Most barrows pure don't skull on players, because even unskulled they may drop Dragon Scimitars, Obby Capes, Rune boots, and even Torag/Dharok Helmets. The point of these pures are to have some very high hits while also having a very strong Defense, being so that their opponents will not hit on them.

Gloves: Barrows
Cape: Obby
Arrows: None
Weapon: Great Axe
Body: Dh body

Inventory should consist of; One DDS, prayer potions, super set, telly tab, and sharks.

Tank Rangers
Tank Rangers. These type of pures have very many different types of forms, and I shall explain the most common. Tank Rangers usually have around 95+ Range, and around 80 or higher Defense. Tank rangers Murder in the wild against many types of pures, so you should be careful when fighting these. Their goal is to have high Range to hit very high, and High defense for barrows armor so their enemy's wont hit as high on them. Very Profitable yet also costly.

Legs: Verac's Skirt
Ammy: Glory
Ring: Recoil
Boots: Rune
Shield: Obby
Gloves: Rune gloves
Cape: Obby
Arrows: Dragon Bolt (E)
Weapon: Rune C'bow
Body: Black Dragon Hide Body

Inventory shall consist of;
Mage short bow, Rune arrows, One ranging potion, prayer potions, One telly tab, Super Defense potion, and sharks.



Obby Mauler/ Obby Ranger
These are very good low level pures, whom hit VERY high, especially when combines with range. A maxed obby maul pure can be around level 57 with 99 Str, and hit over 40's. When combined with rune knives, they are nearly invincible. However, these pures take a lot of time, seeing as they have 1 attack and 1 defense. Ideal stats for a obby Ranger to start pking is 1 Attack, 75+ Str, 70+ Range, and staying 1 prayer. Mage doesn't really matter. *NOTE* Your HP WILL be pretty high for you level, and that is a good thing in this scenario.

Gloves: Highest-Level dragon hide vambs.

Body: Monk Robe

Inventory shall consist of; Rune Knives, One ranging potion, Super set, Telly Tab, Unholy Book, 2 Recoils, Sharks.

DDS Pures
Dds pures are straight melee pures. They have exactly 60 Attack and over 80 Str, with 1 Defense. These pures can be around 85 Str and only be 65 combat, when being one prayer.These pures are VERY strong for their level, seeing as most level 65's have 80 or below Str, due to their Prayer. These were also very good Melee stakers before The Duel Arena was destroyed.

Gloves: Highest-Level dragon hide vambs.
Cape: Obby/None
Arrows:None
Weapon: DDS
Body: Monk Robe

One Dragon Scimitar, Super Set, Telly Tab, 2 Recoils, and Sharks.

Ancient with Range/Melee
You acquire Ancient Magiks when you complete Desert Treasure, a pretty hard quest. Most people with Ancient Magiks use the Ice spells - Ice Burst, Ice Blitz, and Ice Barrage - because they hit pretty high and also enable your opponent to move. Combined with a DDS, These pures are very effective. Most Ancient pures are the same as DDS pures, except that they have 11 or 31 prayer. I recommend Boosting that 11 prayer (Priest in Peril pre-quest) to 16 for the Attack and Str bonus, and it won't really raise a lot of Combat levels, maybe 2 to the max. Ancient Magik can also be combines with range, but DDS is more affective. Ideal stats for Ancient Pures are 60 Attack, 85+ Str, 1 Defense, 11/16 Prayer, 85 Mage, (81 and Magic Potion) or 94 mage (90 and Magic Potion), and Range is optional.

Arrows: Rune Arrows

Body:Ghostly Body

Inventory shall consist of;
One Mage short bow, One Super set, one range potion, (and mage if your mage is too low to use ancients) Runes for your spells, and sharks.

Rune Scimmy Pure
These pures are very good in F2P. They are made up of exactly 40 Attack, 70+ Str, and One defense. Prayer is optional. These pures are very effective in F2P Edgeville, as they can hit through armour at such a low level.

Ammy: Power Ammy
Ring: None

Gloves: Green Dragon Hide vambs
Cape: None
Arrows:None
Weapon: Rune Scimmy
Body: Monk Robe

Inventory should consist of;
One rune 2H, One Str Pot, Swordfish.

Range 2h
These pures are also very good F2P pkers. They are exactly like Rune Scimmy Pures, except they don't use rune scimmy. They use range to lower their opponents HP, then take out their Rune 2h for the K0. Most of these pures are 40 attack, 70+ str, 70+ range, and raising prayer is optional. These are also good Edgeville F2P pkers.

Weapon: Maple Short Bow

One rune 2H, one str pot, and Swordfish.

Rune Tanks
Ah finally, RUNE TANKS. My personal favorite type of pure. I am VERY experienced with pure, seeing as i had one (jagex ftl?) Rune Tanks are a great lower-level version of Tank
Rangers. The main strong points of Rune tanks are having very high range, while still having 40 defense to protect you from hits. It's a great way if you want to be at the top
of your level, however not very good against ancients. My rune tank (Metall_B_O_W) Was 40 Defense, and 81 ranged, while only being 65 hp. Great way of staking before jagex
destroyed the duel arena. Keep in mind when you always make a rune tank stay 1 prayer, no matter how tempting it may be. Rune tanks are usually 40 Attack 40 Str, 40 defense, 75+
range, Mage doesn't matter, and ALWAYS 1 Prayer. I don't recommend pking until you're above 75 Str.

I'm also hoping this has taught even the "noobiest" of players how to create a good pure. Remember, when creating a pure, it isn't always essential to keep the thought that your going to own the wild in your mind, but to have fun!
