Dutch schoolstrikes!!

Yes, we did it again. We students are striking (I am planning to do it on friday) because the goverment says we need to spend more time at school.
We need to be 1040 hours at school, which is totally lame. for example. I have 31 lesson-hours (31*0.80=) around 25 normal clockhours a week. We go to school 40 weeks a year, so thats a mere 1000 hours.

But the problem is, the dutch goverment wants to give us more hours, so that we stay at school longer, but most of the time won't be filled up by useful hours, but with useless hours, like self-study hours, free hours between classes, etc.

Many kids (and I mean, MANY) are really pissed off, and that's why there is a strike.

Ohh. I would get really pissed of it that happend in my country.

I hate to have long breaks at school. It's just a waste of time.
Have they made the new decision already? Or are they still "thinking" of doing it?

 

tommorrow there is a debate, but if it's a failure, the national students comitee plans a national strike on friday....

Listen you retard, if you don't go school you have no education, no education = crap bummed up job, while you shit heads are complaining of more school hours, imagine those people in such places as Africa and India where they would strive for a chance to recieve basic education.

 

Rayden, I totally agree, I live in belgium next to The Netherlands. I find it completely unnecessary to strike, I think the dutch should be happy they have the chance to go to school!

Ofcourse I know everything about education, and i'm following a quite good one (not the highest, but still). I know if I don't get any education I will be picking up garbage later. And now you mention africa, there is another reason (too bad only a few) strike, look at this website:

In other words... The amount of school hours they've got at the moment is great. If all the students would strain in school, everything would be cool.

I got school 7hours(+30minute break) a day and not even that is a lot.

A trash collector in New York City makes ~80 grand a year, which is more than an average school teacher. Maybe I should rethink going to college to become an Agriscience Teacher.

In america you don't start off making nearly that much. It's only after 15+ years your wages will be that high
