I applaud coinbase on their efforts to best handle a really devastating situation for many folks.

I never recommend margin trading in crypto, the safeguards are just not up to the task yet, and this was completely at the discretion of coinbase to credit the losses and is not a normal occurrence as seen by the kraken crash a few months ago.

 

That is awesome on their part and a very smart move, those people who got liquidated or hit their stop loss must be feeling a lot better, I just hope no one took any drastic actions against their life right after. I do wonder how much they will have to credit by the end of this.
