    Jagex changing the economy?

Hey Ive been thinking this for awhile but haven't said too much about it.

I believe Jagex are trying to make it so that Skilling is the only way to make money in an attempt to stop the sale of runescape pixels..

    Here is why.
    Staking update:
    3k max stakes.
Every day people make billions of gp from stakeing.
people such as urballzrmine, ha12ed, pyro214.
surely they can't believe that only gold sellers use the arena...

    Grand exchange:
This is going to absolutely kill merchanting.
People will no longer pay higher prices for things sold in bulk.
i.e buying 15k yews in one trade for 400e. Rather then buying 100 for 370e. over and over.
They no longer have to seek the trader who is selling in bulk because they can purchase small amounts at low cost of many players without even changing worlds...

    Bannings:
Countless high profile players have been banned for things they simply have not done.
    [ no evidence ].
In some instances this takes away over $1b from the economy.
So easy for jagex to do.

    Why?

Takeing away money from the economy means there is less of it.
The less money there is in the economy the more it is worth.
Therefore the price of gold will rise & People will be less willing to buy it.

Discuss, post thoughts, show love =P

    Jagex changing the economy?

Pff, they obviously done this to prevent gold farmers from actually making money. But in-fact the farmers don't actually stake. They use primary skills like WC, fishing etc.. Now the mill prices will rise, and the farmers will be making ALOT more money than usual.

Pretty stupid if you ask me, and taking away staking is like having 99 Smithing and not being able to use it.

I like the grand exchange cause merchanters always pissed me off, but the 3k limit is the most retarded update I've ever seen.

merchanting was how i made my money, it pissed me off when they just did away with it. Staking was one of the coolest features of being a member, and now it's gone too.

    Jagex changing the economy?

Yeah.. it sucks alot.. I mean the game has no competitive edge if there are no rare items.. That is what alot of players aim for, that blue party hat or that cracker.. Now they just get to skill for no reason?

    Jagex changing the economy?

Lets see, I spy 3 mistakes, a new record:

    1) Theres still a very competitive edge (eg. pking).

    2) There will still be rare items...

    3) You get skill for a reason, that's why that made those pretty little capes, also, you may want to aim for being the best.

Dunno how they've got more members, no matter what you do in RuneScape Jagex just loves making the game worse to play for you.
