Did I get scammed?

I jumped the gun and bought my first account today from a user who had 10 people vouching for him. It was a Runescape3 account, after payment he said thanks for doing business and that was that. I had to ask him for the past account information which we discussed before the transaction. I noticed something was fishy. After logging in I noticed there was a bank pin and my inventory was full of membership items, I asked him for the bank pin almost in the same few minutes I asked for the previous account information, no reply. Check back a little later and notice his latest activity was 11:57AM, my message was sent on 11:05 AM. His last viewed page was Rs3 gold for I'm assuming his main which he said he played a few hours a week on. Now I have the pin requested to be off in the next week however I'm extremely reluctant about even touching the account, nevertheless buying membership for it. I know there is no 100% security amongst accounts but I feel like this account has no long term usability. Did I just lose $100+?

It does look very fishy. Keep in mind that accounts are always recoverable as well.
Did you use a middleman and how did you pay for the account?

No middleman, just straight Paypal transfer.

 

If he scams you, you can chargeback your Paypal payment. If you dont want the account anymore ask him if he is alright with reversing the trade.

 

Umm dont know It does look very fishy to me too.

As buyaac said you can chargeback the payment and make the scam report.

Ontop of all that's been said, next time you purchase a account, make sure that the information the seller gives you is enough to do a recovery of the account, so do a recovery check to make sure it gets accepted to ensure that he gave you real information and not fake stuff. Even though this will only slightly help your chances of not getting scammed, at-least you can hopefully recover it back later if he does take it back... But I would stay far far away from account sellers without years of time on sythe!

In any case, you can open a charge-back on Paypal to dispute the funds.

it kinda looks like a scam since he let you pay with paypal without having any rep but you never know.
