@R5V Well if anything he has proven that he is back, Steph Curry is a monster right now. It will be interesting to see if they get greedy for money of if they stay together sort of like the Bulls did in the 90's if that ends up being the case I just don't see LBJ getting another ring to be honest.

 

Oh of course hes back he has something to prove to everyone. And Durant said hes willing to take a lower pay check to keep the team together cause Curry's gonna be getting that max contract. I see them staying together for a bit, or at worst, losing Klay at most, which still leaves them with Durant/Curry/Green. Idk, just like GSW's already stacked squad was able to get Durant, its possible for the Cavs to too, they'll just have to make the necessary pay cuts/etc.

 

Cavs had a chance if they won last night but they blew it. This ones over. Need to revamp the team to compete with the Warriors now, the East is no problem.

 

Yeah exactly, they needed yesterdays win, now its basically over. Honestly the spurs could've beat them but Kawhi's injury fucked them so hard which sucks, cause I really wanted the Spurs to win.

Oh well, onto the next season...

 

I'm so sick of the mediocrity on the Cavs. LBJ is the only one who is consistent. Kyrie is getting there, but still isn't consistent enough. TT is laughing his ass off after signing a MAX contract, Love isn't a factor, JR is JR being streaky.

I can now agree that this series is over.

 

I'm trying to think of some off season pickups that Cavs could do...

Melo, JJ Reddick. This is off the top so I'm sure there are some more, but those 2 come to mind.

 

Redick could definitely be interesting. Don't think he'd be overly costly either. He could definitely help a bit. Would need more than just Redick but Redick has always been tragically underrated.

 

He's a great shooter. Any spot up shooter will come play w/ LBJ- it's heaven for them. He drives all the time to kick-out.

Honestly, Reddick will be costly I bet. Anyone can get paid fat cash in NBA. I wouldn't be surprised if he was near max cash contract.

 

Dead on actually, I just read he wants more than the Clippers want to give. I forgot everyone and their nan gets disgusting money nowadays, even Evan Turner got a 72M contract.

 

Harrison Barnes got paid fat too yet he was irrelevant. Rudy Gay? I'm sticking a basketball in my sons hand right away lmao idgaf if he don't want to play. time to make some $$$$

 

Hell even Al Horford a max cash player. He's good, but max cash? Jesus

 

It's pretty crazy who can get paid what now. You'd think some of those max players would be chill w/ taking a pay cut to ring chase since that seems FOMO.

 

EXACTLY. People shit on Lebron and give him way less credit than he deserves, while hes basically averaging a triple double this series... The last game was Kyrie's first good game of the series, and guess what... It was the first time the Cavs didn't get blown the fuck out. TT is just useless as fuck, he needs to show up like he did last finals, and JR played pretty well the last game, but before that he was also non-existent. Kevin Love's doing pretty well overall so no complaints there, but against GSW? All players have to show up. With them all playing well the Cavs can win/come close to winning but really LBJ is the only consistent one so...

Honestly, if the Cavs could get like Paul George or Melo they'd be set to actually give the warriors a run for their money cause I don't see this team disbanding anytime soon. I hope Griffin goes to either OKC and tears shit up with Westbrook (I feel like that would make them a top 3 team in the West), or he goes to Boston to give the Cavs a run for their money with Thomas, lets see what happens in the free agency lol.

 

As a Celtics fan I'd like to see them bring a big name in free agency, I'm really not sold on Markelle Fultz at all. I hate when random players skyrocket up the mock drafts and get picked super high, it really scares me..a la Anthony Bennett. Honestly think Jayson Tatum or Josh Jackson would fit Boston better..but what do I know

I'd love to see Boston add someone like Gordon Hayward.

 

There's no way they land PG. Only way Cavs land max contract player is if LBJ and others drop contract values significantly.

Yeah true, and none of them are willing to do it, I mean fucking JR Smith spent like 2 months trying to get a few extra mill a year from the Cavs, LBJ deserves his contract (but if he was willing to take a lot less it could get him another ring so its something he should consider), and useless fucks like TT are getting overpaid. And we all know PG will want at least like 15-20M a year, with an already overpaid Cavs squad it won't happen just cause I don't see any player willing to take less money.

 

The entire reason I put 100M 07 on the Cavs was because I expected Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love to shit on Golden State. Kevin Love was playing his best ball ever on the Cavs during these playoffs and Thompson abused them last Summer. Then thought game 1 had to be a fluke getting dominated in the paint, but then, inexplicably, it never changed.

 

It really is. We will see if he improves play this series or next year. Otherwise, complete bust of a max player.

LBJ will take a cut if it's worth it. The dude signed a $1B Nike deal lol.

Realistically these are players I could see added: Melo (best friends w/ LBJ), Reddick (if the price matches and he's willing), RAY ALLEN (would be dope but I think he might be done for good. He's perfect player for LBJ; spot shooter), Brandon Jennings, DWade. I'm missing a lot, but ones that come to mind.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if LBJ entertained other offers, but highly doubtful. There are rumors that it'd be LBJ, CP3, Wade, and Melo @ the Clippers lol.
