John scam report

Hello. Today I rented a maxed main for staking from John

When there were only a few minutes left of the rental he changed the pass and gave someone else access to the account while I had 135m and was about to transfer it over to my account and then he says there's no gp on the account. He does admit to doing that and I feel like this is his responsibility. He was willing to pay me back 20m back out of spite.

If you don't have proof of GP on the account, there's nothing we can do.

 

He did admit to giving someone else access to the account while I was still renting it though? Is that not worth something... I'm seriously losing my mind here.

 

@John was the full hour up or no?

Pictures seem to show 58-59 minutes had elapsed when the password was changed.

 

Yeah I was in a hurry and wanted to get it rented out asap so I changed the pw 1 minute before his time was up (which does not log the user out, only recovering does)

In relation to this report, this is not the first time you have changed the password while the renter still had time that they paid for. There is not proof that there was money on the account at any point however the rental value should be refunded and a TWC will be placed.

Why would I refund the time he paid for when I changed the password with ~ 1 minute left? Not that I'm against repaying his rental fee I just thought that was an interesting decision. As for it not being the first time, I know it's not because I have way too many people waiting to rent 24/7. I changed it like 1-2 mins before his time was up so I could get it rented to the next person as soon as humanly possible.

 

If you rent an hour, it needs to be an hour. 1-2 minutes is not a lot of time; however, it is enough time for a scam to take place. While there user behind this report could be lying, he also may not be.

If this was the first report against you, I would just say a refund and better trading practices; however, staff discussed this and Solo went ahead and executedthe staff decision. At this point, you will not be banned from account rentals as the evidence is circumstantial, but disconnecting users before their time is up is incredibly problematic.

If a user logs out in order to dual-log during their time of ownership and the password was changed, they are then locked out of the account. I am not sure whether you specified this (hopping worlds) in your TOS, but do not change a password outside of the allotted time as a user can log out of an account just to dual-log (again, during their time of ownership) and subsequently be locked out of the account; furthermore, I think locking the user to a specific world is ridiculous as what if they need to transfer GP to a f2p account?

Dispute your TWC in 30 days and if you log someone out early again, you will be banned from rental services.

Agreed. 99.99% of the time, the user renting does not use the full hour so I've become accustomed to changing the password early to save time. I have 10-20 new people adding me every day looking to rent so of course I'm going to be trying to save time where I can. However I do see the possible issues that can arise from doing so and will cease doing so in the future.

This is the first report against me. I've been framed twice before in the past but that's irrelevant as both were confirmed as scammers trying to frame me.

I'm not surprised I'm Solo did that. He's more than likely the one that handled my reported post too. You can tell the guy does not particularly like me.

I did not disconnect the user. I changed the password early. That does not disconnect the user so please do not spread false information. And if the evidence is circumstantial (why the fuck would I scam $130) then why do I have a TwC?

Most people that rent stakers have that renters are not allowed to leave w302 duel arena. It's not ridiculous at all. If someone doesn't have membership on their account that's not my problem. They can find someone else to rent from.
