Can someone explain to me what is so offensive in this video?

I really don't get what the hype is all about, please tell me I'm not the only one.

 

It's 2017 - everyone is easily offended....must be the chemtrails

 

At worst (to me), it is poor taste. The supposed protest going on doesn't highlight anything in specific, just see people holding peace and join the conversation signs (what conversation?). Looks more like a parade than an actual protest. The giving of the pepsi can to the officer followed by the crowd of supposed protesters cheering screams cringe. That's just me.

 

The only thing I can see is the fact that pulling out a coke and giving it to a cop won't make people that excited/fix anything.

 

Apparently people are pissed because they think it trivializes Black Lives Matter protests? The protesters are smiling/hugging and the signs have no significance, white girl gives pepsi to the cop and everything is fine. Shit like that. Idk

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks people (the media/social networks) are overreacting to this commercial and trying to boycott Pepsi lol

 

That was the stupidest commercial ive seen in a while. Makes me sad to live in a world where this upsets people. I mean i was half waiting for the Muslim girl to blow everyone up or the cop to shoot someone. At least then people have something to complain about eh?

This advert is cringey but not offensive (although I can see how SJWs would find it offensive). Good that you don't have to deal with getting your head chopped off i.n the middle-east, but uh oh "there's a controversial TV advert on the screen... the world is ending! Boycott Pepsi!"

 

it is offencive because it used video from blm protest and it was seen as a piggy back off their campain to make more money

I wouldn't really say the word offensive is the right word. This is comedy if I've ever seen it. Sure their is controversy with some parts in the video, and there's a lot of things that make no sense revolving it, but that's where the humor comes in, but that's just my opinion. I wouldn't go overboard and say that this video is racist, or harmful in any way, shape, or manner.
