Marijuana Vs. Alcohol

Yeah smoking ciggarettes WILL EASILY affect your life, if not immediately, you will show signs over time.

 

weed is not worse then ciggerettes. theres proven studys.

marijuana has around 4000 carcinigens in it, way more than cigarettes.

The average cigarette smoker holds the cigarette smoke in his/her lungs for around 1 second.

The average marijuana smoker holds the marijuana smoke in his/her lungs for as long as possible.

The average annual emergency room visit rate due to marijuana induced problems is around 85,000. Thats more than heroin.

 

Alcohol does mess with your head, yes. But this is only for the duration of the 'high'. The only lasting effects would be short term memory loss, and this isn't severe. In general, this effect rarely shows.

Also, that is a different alcohol. You can't just drink some rubbing alcohol and get drunk.

 

Marijuana is proven to cause reproductive problems in males and females alike. Tell me it's not serious when you're shooting blanks.

 

whoa whoa whoa. first let me just say i am in no way questioning yours or anyone else's intelligence with my statements, just stating an opinion.


if marijuana was made legal (if if if if if. and i dont believe it ever will be.) LESS people would use it. LESS people would abuse it. and i dont believe that it has extra side effects that alcohol. u cant compare the two. theyre different.

my experience with marijuana has always been pretty good. i have more fun and im more relaxed when ive gotten high. ive gone to class high and gotten an A on a test. (i get a's and b's btw).

and to end my statement...
i dont care if they make marijuana legal or not.
im gonna keep using it.
im not gonna discourage my kids from using it.
and i wont ever dislike a person because of their views for or against marijuana (despite all of the people who hate the "pot-head scum" roming the streets).

omg.... like this isnt already happening. people hallucinate all kinds of things in today's society. *cough* al gore *cough* people who believe in aliens on planet x *cough*

How would less people use it?
Wouldn't it make sense if more people used it? Now that it's legal, people would want to try it, just to see what it's like.

If you want to discourage its use, make it even more illegal. I dunno how. But you have some imagination there.

 

marijuna shoudl be legal no real affects well except maybe lung cancer but it calms people down.

Weed Is 100% Safer then Alcohol in my opinion.

None have died from smoking weed or getting high.

1000s of people die from alcohol all the time, because
you cannot function worth a fuck when ur drunk and
thats what causes all these accidents dumfucks get drunk
and go out and drive and do stupid things.

Think about what you have said. People die from alcohol because it impairs your thinking. Marijuana does that too.

This does not make weed 100% safer, the risk is still in personal responsibility.

To bob - I'm talking about completely legalized weed - that you can buy like cigarettes. I don't think California has that yet.

pretty much, wine is the only healthy kind of alcohol. And Marijuana, Its only good for Small Doses, and thats a true fact. Unlike me, i pretty much do it everyday... lol

 

alcohol has a MUCH higher tendency for abuse than pot.

Alcohol tends to have larger negative consequences:
alcohol is the leading cause of crimes against a person in most countries.
its responsible for thousands of deaths via drink driving etc.
