London Bridge incident: What we know so far - BBC News

Been three instances reported in Central London.

Seems 3 people have driven a van down London Bridge and swerved around running people over and then got out of the van with 12" blades and ran around stabbing people... lovely.

Also been two other incidents in Borough Market and Vauxhall also but no details yet.

Police have confirmed at least more than one person has died.

 

I live in Central London, police cars going past my house every 60 seconds or so.

Police looking for three men - reports

The BBC's Nick Quraishi at the scene says he is now able to corroborate earlier reports of gunshots being fired.

Reports suggest it may have been more than one incident:

• A van hitting people at London Bridge and three people then jumping out of the vehicle and attacking members of the public;
  
  
• A separate incident at Borough Market
  
  
• Police have now said they are responding to a third incident in Vauxhall
  

It is understood that police are looking for three suspects who may be armed.

 

Watching the news, members of the public are being evacuated from the area and have their hands held up while walking down the street past the cordon.

 

Begs the question what next.

 

Reports by eyewitnesses that two out of three of the attackers on the bridge were shot dead by the police. The old bill haven't commented on anything to do with the attackers yet.

Well reading the news it seems that the police are actually leading this incident, which means the intelligence agencies had no idea or warning about this happening.

I imagine the "One Love Manchester" concert on Sunday today probably is related to this.

Also, eyewitnesses are reporting the men who ran from the van and doing the stabbings were shouting "This is for Allah!". There's also a photo on social media of two of the men laying on the ground after being shot, one of them you can see what look like canisters around his belt.

Just to update initial reports are saying 7 casualties, Vauxhall incident was unrelated.

 

why the UK though? like, it seems their main target recently has been solely the UK. Either way this is fucked.

 

ISIS have been targeting countries in Europe in general, I doubt the UK was singled out, just comes under "the west".

 

Another update - 6 people confirmed to have died so far. All 3 attackers have been shot dead by the police (and nothing of value was lost that day).

the police commissioner warned Theresa may that budget cuts to police/armed police counter terrorism would lead to nationwide terror threats including Manchester and London.

The Western Powers forcing multiculturalism on us and importing literally anyone who wants to come to the UK and other western countries are the reason this has happened.

If these three nutjobs turn out to be refugees (or economic migrants is the better term), there is going to be serious questions for the EU to answer for (the truck attacks in Berlin and Sweden were both done by asylum seekers). Even so, if they grew up in the UK it isn't going to detach the problem of a religion that is simply not compatible with western culture.

 

most likely will be outsiders who did this, as it is most of the time.. the problem is mayor of london said something along the lines with 'we have to live with terror in a major city' was all over twitter yesterday had him quoting that after he got elected i think. & him holding up a sign saying 'refugees welcome'

i mean if you look at Poland they don't accept them far as i'm aware and get 0 attacks, just a shame it has to come to terror attacks to make people realise, this will be forgotten in a week until the next attack, always happends.

 

That's 3 attacks in 3 months. Incredibly sad.
