[Food] Poke House - Hot Cheetos Poke Burrito Review

I heard about this novelty item and I couldn't resist. Poke is one of my favorite foods, way better than sushi. So I had to indulge.

Going into this, I did not expect the Hot Cheetos crust to even be good. I had to do it for the novelty. It was messy, and didn't taste all that great. I think Limon or XXtra Hot Cheetos (or another variety ) would work better on this. I'd love to give them an XXtra hot bag and tell them to cover it in that.

I had a hard time tasting the Cheetos other than the fried corn taste that it has. The smell of Cheetos isn't pleasant, but that didn't matter.

As far as my fillings go, the Tuna was amazing as it usually is with Poke. It was tossed in Korean Chili sauce which tastes like any other Korean Chili poke bowl - DELISH. This location had cilantro and it added a strong burst of fresh flavor into the burrito. I never guessed cilantro would go SO WELL with Poke. Everything else was high quality.

The rice here in the Poke Bowls is actually sticky, which is a plus. I'd get a bowl here next time.

The only problem - 2 out of 3 people (one being myself) had a bad... removal of food after this. Not sure if they were caused by this item, but...

High 5/5 - Poke is hard to mess up. As long as you toss it in some sauce, you're good to go. I can't prove this place made me go boom boom.

I'd go here again. Great tasting food.



Mochi Ice cream was good. I've been meaning to have it. $1.50 each. Mango one tasted like I was eating mango and it was alright. Vanilla went well with the mochi itself, but the vanilla ice cream was low tier.
