We've got a couple more custom pets for you guys as well. Over 30 of them to be exact!

 

Why should players play this when they can simply play a normal game?
If there was a team that created a stable 2004-2005 replica with quests/treasure trails, that would be amazing.

The community voted for a current 317 not a old one made back in 04-05,
Servers like this aka Dodian have been relaunched and have failed multiple times over the years because it's just too outdated and no one plays it, hence why all the big servers now a days are similar in content/gameplay because that's what players like. We've had multiple testers login and say they are satisfied with the server the way it is.

 

Looks awesome! The unique/custom ideas I've seen so far really are refreshing and I personally can't wait to see what else you guys can come up with! Massive props!

I find the latest OSRS updates to be very interesting however I simply don't have the time to play it again since I'm very busy with irl stuff. I don't see myself ever playing osrs again for this reason, however a well scripted private server is something I would consider because it would only take me a few days to reach the endgame content rather than a few months on the actual game.

There are also people that can't afford to pay monthly subscriptions which is another reason why private servers are so successful. (An example of how successful a private server can be for these reasons - http://i.imgur.com/82Bc3cW.png)

On a side note I'm really glad to see that the new team is posting changelogs and asking for feedback, this is a huge change from the months of silence and countless bugs that we experienced around 5 months ago

Thank you! Reason to why we were quiet was because it was only two of us in the RSPS team. This month our team grew to 6 people. @Final Calibur and @Sphiinx are our two newest developers and are putting in a whole lot of work. You'll be hearing more and more about the RSPS in the next couple months .

 

If there's going to be a gambling system (duel arena/fp/etc), are there going to be ways to ensure that gp isn't entering the game illicitly?

 

We have ensured that there will be no way of getting GP entered illegally, Which is why we're fixing things right now to make sure everything is stable before it's fully stable.

 

I'm also referencing people who have access to the code.

 

Yeah we will have gambling/duel arena
and yes, we will have a system that scans through the economy looking for dupes or money that is coming way too fast.
We will also limit our staff team to what they can spawn. It is also possible for us to monitor what is spawned.

We are monitoring what is being changed code-wise.

 

Will there be any restrictions in the amount of accounts you may have and is botting allowed?

 

I'm excited to play. Can't wait for full release.

 

I see you have the two developers, does that mean you aren't accepting any new ones?
