    "The power of suggestion"

The power of suggestion is something that you are told that alters the opinion of things.

    For example:

A: You watch a funny movie all night, and you go to bed worry free.

B: You watch a slasher movie, and you think things like that can happen to you. You go to bed with the assumption that that can happen to you.

    another... (actual survey)

You are given something to smell. In this case, rotten cheese.

A: You are told it is rotten cheese, you smell it and think its disgusting.

B : You are told it is a fine cheese that is very rare and very expensive, not as gross.

    That's like saying....

You're not going to eat that, are you?

    As apposed to :

Are you going to eat that?

By stating that they won't and then forming it into a question at the end, they're much more likely to say no. It can work wonders, depending on the situation you use it in.

Much like magicians use misdirection and acting to make you believe.

Good topic, but not much more to say.. =/
