My first WebSite layout :)

Well I am currently in development of a network called Hell-Bound.

Hell-Bound has just begun and so far I am the only person developing it . This new network will one day have many sites that are anything from Graphics, Programming, chat, forum skinning etc.. My first site is a template site that hasn't even been made or constructed, it is not upon reality yet.

I have been learning HTML and CSS for my first chain of my network and it is going along very well.

I have made a very basic (kinda shiot ) layout for my Main page:





Please Rate/Hate and CnC. And yes I know its not that good, as I have not done anything large or intense in ages.

 

The banner looks out of place. Real nice except the banner I say. 7/10 all up, gj.

 

Hmm, I also thouhgt the same thing..... I will just move it when I code it later on.

 

I see it now, Drag it accross left more, it is right aligned and overlapses the navbar. Also, if I were you, i'd stretch it accros

 

Yes, stretch the header, please.

Also, that orb thing on the nav is very distracting, and misaligns it with the rest of the page (that big orange box next to it).

Honestly, I don't really like it that much. Especially the header banner. It's way to shiny and gaudy. Yuck. (No offense D: )

 

I like what you do to the left and the middle, but the banner is awkward. It is off color from the rest of the web page. Also the design inside it is just random with random colors. Other than the awkward banner I would say its a pretty good website layout for your first. Remember practice makes perfect so keep practicing and you'll get better at it.

 

Not really professional. Gradients seem random, colors don't match well.

Font parings aren't there at all T_T

I know It sucks hard but this will give me an idea for what not to do/to do in future

I will make a new layout in the next weak or so but I am concentrating on CSS at the moment. Thanks for your comments, they really helped.

Also I was thinking white + orange for the next version, or I could scrap it and leave it alone for a while and make my other layouts.

 

Its good, other then the flower thing, it doesnt match Hell Bound. And if you connected the banner to the site slightly it may look a bit better, as for the nav nar Its good but the flower/leaf again =/ I know mine sucked but I made the think it like 15min =]

 

Not bad, Like they have been saying try to make a better banner. I like the idea your going for but needs a little work. All in All 7.5/10

 

Everything is decent besides the banner. IMO the banner is what makes or breaks some layouts, and this one it demolished it. But everything else is nice. Add me on msn I could help you out if you want.

Probly PS like most graphics designers, Norma. Good layout considering it was your first. But yes, the banner is misplaced and too square compared to the rest of the page, which seems smooth.

 

PS CS2, i am getting CS3 Extended soon but I will not buy it

I am starting my second layout today as it is 5:30 PM on a wednesday... Wish me luck, the colors will be white and orange this time.

 

hi i think you need to smooth the banner out and sort out the colors what are you using to code it ? feel free to contact me if you need any help

 

First thing i noticed was the text, it's very ugly. you've got a mix between medieval gothic font, and comic sans sort of font, it's not nice >_<

you'd be better using uniformed sort of fonts, fonts that look similar or just plain fit with each other.

the gradient bit at the top = uglay! it's just wasted space for an over-sizes ugly banner.

You've also gone from flames and that style, to flourishes? wtf dude

the whole thing isn't very uniformed in appearance.

Now that I have better look at it, it does really suck. Next one will look better... hopefully.

 

netwerk looks like hetwerk and ur banner make it bigger or more to the middle
