$10-20; commonly traded/used item, even today when it's no longer efficient to bury them, let alone pick them up. It's not worth more than that because it isn't a very glamorous item or an item people would have fond memories of (as opposed to a name like "Abyssal Whip").

2 - Three (3) Character Names: There are so many possible combinations, with plenty still available, that these names just aren't rare. Unless it's the same number 3 times or consists of a character-space-character, has a space inbetween the two characters, then it's not rare.

As stated above, if it is a char space char, then it holds some value. Maybe not a lot, but it still holds value.

 

are you sure "28th" doesn't have any value (07)? I told a guy w/ "26th" id give him 10m for name and he said no. Said he's been offered 50m and the name "slimy" before and turned them both down as well.

I would say around 10m 07. Other than first gen, many random Pokemon names are pretty much worthless, with the exception of some really popular ones (eevee evolutions, etc.) / starter / legendary. Anything going past 3rd gen (hell, even 2nd gen) are far, far less desirable. Ones 5th gen and up I would consider completely worthless, whether a starter or legendary. 3rd and 4th gen are already pushing it.

With that said, I know Garchomp is a pretty popular one from 4th gen, so I don't think it'd be fair to necessarily say worthless. I have limited knowledge of Pokemon past 3rd gen, but I can see you still being able to get something for it, albeit not much.

Hopefully that's some fairly helpful insight on Pokemon names.

Edit: The demographic for RS players are mostly around the age of people that liked gen 1 and 2 primarily, so that's why going much further than that limits your market.

 

meaningless 2 letters go around 40-80m 07 Quite a big gap, but it all depends on the cleanliness of the name. All up to the buyer from that point.

 

We're estimating what you'd probably get if you put the name on sale here - if you are directly approached by someone who wants to buy it, chances are they're willing to pay much more than people here would since they had to desire the name enough to approach you in the first place.

For example, back in 2015 I would have been willing to pay 1b RS3 for Aria since I had a crapload of GP from botting QBD and was working on a main at the time. However, most people would appraise that name as having far less value that what I would have been willing to pay for it.

 

Another opinion on Chalk? painting goes for 10-20m but "Chalk" goes for 30?

 

Chalk in my opinion is 20 min 35 max.(pushing it a little) It an writing utencil used on chalkboards(barely used nowadays). Therefore, I think 30 is a good estimate.

Painting is a hobby though. People can have a connection to this name. Chalk, however, is an object that you will be referred to as. No one is gonna think you are a math genius if your name is chalk.
