07 Botfarming in 2017

This section has piqued my interest, and after some research the past few days I'm considering getting into botfarming.

I have some general questions that maybe somebody can guide me through. If you can prove your experience to me, I would consider throwing you some cash for guidance. However, any free information that can be provided would be very much appreciated.

Some questions that I have are:

• What are some good ways to transfer the farmed gold to my mule(s)?
• How often should I transfer gold from the bots to the mule(s)?
• How do I know if my IP or cache has been flagged?
• Is keep seperate IPs or seperate Caches more important?
• Is it better to use a VPS, VPN, or proxies?
• If I choose proxies, can I run seperate proxies on five browsers from the same computer?
• How often should I change IPs to prevent detection?
• Where can I find users that are capable of making private scripts?
• What is a generally safer botting schedule in efforts of preventing bans?
• Would it be more cost effective to purchase large VPS's or multiple computers with proxies?

Thanks in advance for helping me out with any pointers. I have a method I would like to begin with, on only about 10 accounts. If I can find some success hopefully I'll grow into something bigger.

• What are some good ways to transfer the farmed gold to my mule(s)?

Create a mule account by hand, never bot it. Ideally level it up some. You can straight trade gold to your mule without much issue.

• How often should I transfer gold from the bots to the mule(s)?

Varies. Once you do your method consistently enough, you'll get an idea of when the bans will be coming. Simply transfer your gold before the bans. If you want to be even safer, transfer nightly.

• How do I know if my IP or cache has been flagged?

If you experience bans (not locked accounts) abnormally fast on an IP, it may be flagged.
To know if it was "abnormally fast" you'd need to know the typical amount of time an account lasts using your given method.
People also typically believe that after you get ~2+ bans on a particular IP address, it may become flagged.

• Is keep seperate IPs or seperate Caches more important?

Not 100% what you are asking. Splitting your accounts up over IP addresses is suffice to avoid chain bans. No need to do anything with cache.

• Is it better to use a VPS, VPN, or proxies?

A VPS is a remote computer to run your bots on, and comes with it's own unique IP address.

With a proxy you run the bots on your own PC, but route their internet connection through the proxy.

You can use a program like Proxifier to set a different IP address per proxy on your computer. There are other similar programs to this you can Google for.

One of the few browsers with SOCKS proxy support is Maxthon. Their latest version, MX5, has removed Java support, so you'll need to download v4 to be able to load Runescape. You can get Maxthon v4 here.

See above answer about flagged proxies.
Use a proxy as long as you can, but after you get some bans on it, it may become flagged, at which point get a new one.

• Where can I find users that are capable of making private scripts?

TRiBot is the leading Oldschool Runescape Bot. Has lots of features & active scripters. You can post a private script request on their forums here:

There are many talented scripters at TRiBot.

Private scripts typically cost multiple hundreds of dollars, as programming is a skilled trade.

• What is a generally safer botting schedule in efforts of preventing bans?

Everyone has their own opinions about this. Some people suicide bot successfully, other's take lots of breaks. Highly dependant on your method and personal botting style. Will have to test your method and see.

• Would it be more cost effective to purchase large VPS's or multiple computers with proxies?

Most cost effective:
Buy a Linux based VPS with specs to your liking. (For larger farms, look for a Dedicated Server instead. Cost more, but more cost effective for big farms.)
100s of companies sell these, this site to find some: LowEndBox or Google.

Now you will need to know how to use the command line to to SSH into your VPS, install a desktop environment, VNC, Java, and your Runescape bot for your particular Linux distro.

Easy Option for non-techies:
If all of that sounded like a foreign language, no problem.
The next option is to purchase a Runescape Bot Ready VPS.

There are VPS that come setup with everything I mentioned above.
All you do is buy it, connect, and start running you bots.

Wow, I couldn't have asked for more. I appreciate you taking the time to answer these questions thoroughly. I've been scouring Google for the past few days and have just been absorbing a lot of information. I wasn't entirely sure about any of the methods heavy botters use these days. It's nice to have all of these answers put right in front of me to reference in one read.

Furthermore, in the case that one decides to use proxies, are you suggesting that proxies be recycled consecutively, rather than concurrently?

For example, I would run 10 bots on a proxy, and when I suspect it is compromised, I dump the proxy and start with 10 accounts on the new one, in comparison to having 3 proxies running 4 accounts each.

 

the more accounts that are in a proxy or internet connection the higher chance off geting caught bottign so you should use 1-4 acc/proxy and thats max i tend to use 1acc/ proxy at most 2

Trade em normally.

How often should I transfer gold from the bots to the mule(s)?
as much as possible to save as much resources as possible before the ban.

How do I know if my IP or cache has been flagged?
Instant bans.

Is keep seperate IPs or seperate Caches more important?
as long as you use separate IPs on bots then you're good.

Is it better to use a VPS, VPN, or proxies?
These are different things. A VPN and proxy is to change your IP. A VPS is used to run more bots on a virtual computer if your computer isn't good enough or if you're not willing to let your computer run for hours on end.
Get proxies for sure.
Proxies = different IPs per acc
VPN = all your accounts uses 1 IP

I felt like I didnt really need to change IPs, but I just change em every month because why not.

OSBot or TriBot. lots of scripters willing to make scripts for you, for a fee ofcourse.

I'm afraid you have to find this out on your own. Since it can also depend on the method you're using

Personally I use VPSs because my local ISP is unreliable af. But if your internet is good, and you can afford a beast computer, then why not? it's more worth it in terms of cost in the long run.

what are you having problems with specifically? you can use proxies on chrome, firefox, and maxthon. just gotta find them in the settings.

EDIT: just to add more info, you need SOCKS5 proxies for runescape botting.

 

I want to have all my ducks in a row before I even jump off the porch. How do I link two proxies to three or four accounts each, playing at the same time, on the same pc, on different browsers?
