Well I think its right. The reason I think it is American or any other country is trying to protect people and not let something bad happen to them then problems can occur. And if someone had sex underage they should know the consequences.

 

overpopulation is one of the key purposes america came up with this law. even with abortion, some familys wouldnt want you to kill the fetus.

If two minors are together for a while (no, people, a "while" is not two weeks.), and their relationship has developed to the point that they are more than just the 'normal high school relationship', and they are comfortable with the idea of sexual intercourse with each other and are prepared for any and all consequences of such action, then I see nothing wrong with it.

However, if a minor's getting fucked up (belligerently drunk, popping ecstasy, etc.) every weekend (or not getting fucked up), and having sex with random partners - that's wrong. That's what needs to be stopped.

I haven't read much of the other posts, but just to clear something up:

It is NOT illegal for two minors to engage in sex. (At least in California)
Ask your local physician if it's illegal in your state (although I doubt it's the state's choice).

And use your common sense: Wear condoms. It's very legal for you to buy them, and if you're ashamed of buying them, then you shouldn't be having sex.

I am 15, have a girlfriend but no, we have not had intercourse yet.

I do feel she is right for me, only time will tell but when she feels right will be the right time. In saying that I have every intention of having intercourse with her.

If we decided to break up, it would not stop me before being 18. That is two and a bit years away, with me already wanting to it seems like a long way away.

Losing your virginity is not something I value highly, maybe that is just my opinion, in saying that I would be a hypocrite and not want my son having sex at 15, would not like it at all.
