Ok I'm prety shure you don't know this one it's a dewezy "as my grandpa says". When I load runescape it gets like halfway there and my computer restarts. I send the error report message and it says it is my anti-virus "EZ Antivirus". I do what it says...it downloads something that i need a key pass thing whatchya macallit and I don't have that so I just deleted that. Have any other ideas? O ya I have AOL 9.0 and I use IE instead of the AOL browser. I already deleted the AOL browser because it did the same thing.

i have a serious problem ok here it is...
0. i plyed runescape friday it worked
1. i tried playing runescape saturday
2. it went to the home page
3. where it shows the updates it said (server is updating this week)
4. ok than i clicked on "exsting player"
5. it went to a log in screen, i logged in
6. than a message popped and and said "server is updating this week try again"
7 well i tried to play on sat. and sunday but still it did the same thing
8. i told my friend about it and he said he played over the weekend
9. well monday i tried again same thing happened, than today again it happened
10. sometimes it doent go to the rs home page it says internet cant display this webpage etc.
11. i updated my java like 30 times and still samething happened
12. i am using wireless internet
13. can u plz tell me what is wrong?
14. i was using opera friday, and a proxy
15. i tried ie but it didnt help than i tried firefox it didnt help either
16. i tried to connect to diff wireless internets but it does the same thing
17. soooo plz help me!!!!!!

I think thats a virus thats trying to get you to buy the product.

Well no proxy can work with runescape. does it say ""server is updating this week try again" when your logging into the game?

 

hey phil i have a serouis problem ok here it is
1. runescape will not come up it just says "cant display webpage etc.
2. i tried IE, firefox, opera( runescape loaded last friday and i played on opera), and maxothonm it comes up with the same message
3. i have wireless connection
4. i tried to use a proxy and not to use 1 but still same problem
5. can u tell me what is wrong or do u need more information

 

So what your saying is you can go to any web page, but runescape.com wont work.

hmm I honestly have no idea. Add me to AIM (philiprego) and hopefully we can figure this out.

 

well, if runescape is the only site you cannot go to and you can go to every other website, the only thing i can think of is that something is blocking it, maybe a firewall that blocks runescape server IPs. you should check your firewall settings and see if someone tried to block you from playing runescape or so. its all i can come with lol sry

PS: sry phil if this is spamming of any kind i just saw this problem and said what i thought could be a solution

 

Ya i was thinking that...that would be the only thing that makes sense.

go to control panel and then internet options and see if runescape is block. If that dosent work turn off your firewall.

umm, is it possible oto use a proxy for runescape? heard it is possible and someone posted an explanation but it didnt make sence. with proxies and stuff i can do everything on runescape exept play it, when it tries to load it just stays as white screen and rs never loads

 

ok....phil I have tried everything it seems like....i got all the spy ware, viruses, and all that bad stuff off.
My computer still shuts off after loading runescape halfway.

I dought theres any proxy that you can use with runescape.

 

Your computers most likely overheating. So open up the case and start gettin all the dust out. (just don't disconnect anything)

How do I fix my internet connection? It keeps turning on and off, and I also try the repair button but it ain't work either . Help pleeeeease?

 

Wireless or Wired?

 

usually proxies are slow because they are located far away, usually in europe or so. runescape might not load for you if the connection is weak. may i ask wat proxies you are using?

Ok fhil I think I know what it is....could it be my outlet not good or something like that.....cause every time I start something that takes a lot of power like a microwave or something to the same place it shuts off the computer.

 

Its not going to work because proxys are slow....its not going to work because jagex made runescape playable only at runescape.com and i dont think theres any easy way to get around that.
