Anyone use a tablet?

Does anyone here have a tablet which they use to make GFX?

 

Bought one a few years ago but unless you are drawing it is kinda inferior to a mouse.

 

kinda confused on where being superior/inferior to a mouse becomes relevant, and I don't really see why anyone would try using it for anything else haha

OT; I did have a tablet, I no longer do, but it's very fun to use after you get your hand-eye coordination acquainted with it.

 

Maybe inferior was the wrong word to use. I only mean't that if you aren't going to draw you might as well use the mouse that you are already used to. No point in adjusting to the pen.

 

Ohh, yeah I agree with that. Though I've always wanted to see someone do some intense gaming on a high-quality drawing tablet. It would be very entertaining to watch lol

 

Osu! players at a high level tend to use a tablet. I am sure you can find videos of people using it.

 

I have an Intuos5 med and I use it for almost all of my jobs. I actually initially bought it for animating cartoons, now I use it for tons of different conceptual art & illustration/hand-drawn work. If you think you could make use of one, it's definitely worth considering.

Whenever I bring up using a wacom tablet everyone is always more interested in the advantage it will give you in osu lmao

Yeah I ended up getting one, I need it for various illustration work. Makes life much easier than drawing everything out by hand (EDIT: on paper).

I was planning on getting the Cintq 13in for illustration work but I live in a college dorm and I'm afraid of having drunk roommates accidentally dropping it or something.

Do you use a screen protector on it to prevent scratches from the pen stylus?

 

Shit I bought mine awhile ago but I think mine is the intuos pro small. I've used it a handful of times but it's hard for me to get used to the new drawing style. I'm used to looking down while I draw and staring at the screen while my hand does the drawing is too different for me right now.

Even though I barely use it I don't regret buying it. I feel like it will definitely come in handy at some point and I need to put in the time and effort so I can start drawing on Illustrator.
