How good are Granite Maulers??

I have an account that has these stats-40 att 70 str 1 def 40 ranging 31 prayer 26 mage. i wanna make him into a granite mauler but idn how good Granite Maulers are against like a dds pure or a ranger.

my stat goals are- 50 att 80+ str 1 def 40 ranging 31 prayer and mabey 80 mage for zammy flames and charge.

my plan of attack- farcast flames of zammy with charge then run up hit with g mauler then spec spec and if not a k0 whip out a rune scimmi and fight till someone wins.

can someone tell me the answer the these questions-
how good are g maulers?
how are my stats i wanna get?
is my plan of attack good or should i change it?(if change plz suggest ideas)

 

Granite Maulers own all the lower levels. Just use the best spell you can, and if it hits over 10, run up and 3 hit them with the maul.

They'll be very lucky to survive that.

 

ice burst/blitz/barrage > atk & do both specs..
otherwise that's a good plan..
(wouldnt recomend charge and flames..)

 

thanks for the tips guys...godfather y not charge and flames and whatother spells could i use besides ancients...mabey fire wave or something that doesn't require a staff would be better????

 

My personal combo which I haven't seen done or have tested is this:

1.Far Cast Blitz/ Barrage
2. Knife them from a distance
3. Allow them to spec on you (you have recoil)
4. Maul for the kill/MSB

If you are lower then yes maulers are great, the higher your combat the worse it gets because of rune pures.

 

im only lvl 54 right now and i only plan on getting to lvl 65 combat then going dds pure then selling it as im not into all that whip dhoraks crap. im off to bed for now ill be on tommorrow to check up. need more opions and all are welcome.

 

sure there good on low lvl
but at higher lvl the dds take over
and ill go for range if u dont want high mage(use cannon=no hp=no combo)
so when your a little higher lvl get 60+attack

G MAULERS OWN if u ave blitz (26 max) u use blitz hit 26 run up 3 hit they will not survive only if they are extremly luky has he** ... GRANITE MAULERS PWN

 

back and id perfer not to do dt as i want to pk soon and not mess with that quest...so what other spells are good besides dt spells...

 

Firewave is another commonly used to spell.

 

In my opinion they are good for 1 iteming. If you want a good challenge go to a ddser/dskim.

 

i hustle i was kind of learning to one of those after watching movies on youtube. they seem to be more fun and not just g maul then spec spec. idn yet still open for options.

 

with the account in my sig, (NOW 82 MAGE!!!)
i blitz run up and g maul spec it owns i 4 hit everyone =p.
i dont reccomend flames charged because you have to switch from staff to maul and blitz has a delayed hit so it owns for rushing.

I'm thinking about making one later on after skilling is complete. Doing blitz and running up with the granite maul
