[Food] McDonald's - Filet-O-Fish Review (Sponsored by BlackHat Lord Str8 Dank - lobbied by JG)

I know this isn't a new item by any means, but this review was in the works for a while now. I had phases of really looking forward to doing it and not looking forward to it.

Disclaimer: I was very sick when I reviewed this, as well as optimistic and pessimistic.

I don't like fish.

Here we go... not a lot to say about this one. I bring the sandwich back with me to my bed to make love to the fishy lil' critter (s/o Abe), and on the way back I want to throw up. I almost did. Yeah, being sick was not a good idea.

The bun was a nice "steamed" McDonald's bun. I really like these buns.

The fish patty was your typical frozen random fish patty taste. You can get this patty anywhere. From a school cafeteria, freezer aisle, garbage bin, etc.

Think I swallowed some and gag-spit out the rest of that bite.

Then, I took a bite from the left side. The tartar side.

The sauce seemed a bit off-putting. I already don't like mayo, but whatever this thing was... it was dripping out of the edges in a massive quantity. It tasted SORTA like Big Mac sauce, but overall it probably set off PTSD from my childhood of not liking fish.

I gagged and almost threw up.. added that bite to my throw-up pile, closed the box and moved on.

tl;dr Don't review something you don't like when you're really sick

I'd eat this again when I'm not sick, but I'd need some time to re-review this...

A lot of people seem to like it, but I can tell you 100% that fish patty is nothing special. Sauce is, though. If you're a fan of tartar sauce, I'd try their sauce.

I love Poke and Sushi though.

 

Pictured is a 3/5 Poke bowl... this one tasted like fish that wasn't marinated in anything. That is NOT how you make Poke. Oh I see JG answered it already... there is a Sushi review coming in 1-2 weeks.. it is going to be epic. Well, for me at least. FYI Philly rolls are the best basic roll .
