At IRC.When i do " Join Channel " What do i have to write there?
#Sythe? Or something else?
I wanna go on the mainly channel for sythe.

 

I'm guessing you're trying to open it in IE.

I don't have a web client set up there yet; so until then you'll have to download mIRC to access it.

after you've installed it, type /SERVER irc.sythe.org
then type /NS REGISTER <pick a password> <[email protected]>
Then follow the instructions in the email you'll receive
THen type /JOIN #Sythe

I'll get a web client set up eventually, just too lazy to do it right now

 

Where do i fill in "/SERVER irc.sythe.org"?

A: You need a client that will connect to the IRC. YOu can get one at www.mirc.com, or google for it.

After that, fill in all the fields required and in the box I showed in the picture in one of my above posts, type /SERVER irc.sythe.org

Then after the connection is established, type
/NS REGISTER password [email protected]

Remember that your password must be at least 6 letters long.

you'll receive a confirmation email; follow the instructions inside.

Then, type /JOIN #Sythe

Every time you disconnect/reconnect to the IRC after that, you must type /NS IDENTIFY password (it must be the same password you used to register with, and you must be using the same nickname)

You can change your nickname with /NICK newnickname

Your nickname must be greater than one character in length, and cannot start with a number; it may contain them, however.

Yes. It does. It's run in a basic communist fashion without all the corruption. I know this from Rsf's IRC. I'm Halfop there thanks to Jansen (first to give it), Edward (Jansen's friend who gave it back after someone removed me), Resident (after Stephan removed me), Reece (After Stephan removed me), Nathan (Gave it back after everyone seemed to be lowered one ranking (sop's were now aop's, ect.)), and ofcourse RsfBot For giving it to me everytime I join

umm can someone help me? when i go to the site i get this:

You don't have permission to access /sythe on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.37 Server at irc.sythe.org Port 80

btw i went to the site... and it poped up like this:

Firefox cannot read (irc://)
