Total noob question but....

Ok, so I downoladed the latest SCAR DiVi and SRL etc., but I don't know what to do know. I mean, when I ope it up do I just highlight the
program
New;
begin
end.

and then paste the code I want to use over it or what? I haven't really been able to find anywhere that covers this...
