I don't think its right, but if it is for a good cause, it might be abused somehow.

It could be abused yeah. But think If your on a donars list and you need a organ and you die by the time they get to you.. If they had cloning you could have got the organ right there.

It would do good yes, but this would take lots of planning and trial and error.
Most people would be willing to test an organ if they were on the edge to die.
It would do lots of good, but it doesn't seem human and seems rather insane.
I would accept this but there would be some kind of huge issue, don't know what but I'm sure someone agrees that this is rather dangerous experimentation.

I didnt mean it in the religious way, but in the way of creating another human when you could just clone the organ or whatever you needed.

In order to clone you have to first kill life. So you are now legalizing killing a possible new life, just to kill the unatuarally made person.

Thats all I have to say on the subject.

No, if lets say your dog died now, thatd be his destiny.
Destiny isnt made, it's rather a word to comfort people with a loss.
If this is the animals destiny, then so be it.

But if you think, that cloning animals, because they are dieing from "disease"
is good, What makes it good to keep them alive, just so we are able to eat something that should of been killed by us years ago.

All I'm saying is that we should face the truth and have responsibility.
What challenge is there in life if you have nothing to live for,
Isn't your main goal to stay healthy in life?

What does life mean to you then, what will make you think that life is something precious you should charish?
Dont you see, that wounds eventually heal by themself?
Wether you die and find peace, or make it and find peace.

I dont think we should be allowed to clone whatsoever.

It would be great to clone organs, although they would definitely be very expensive. But it's worth a life.
The downside: If cloning becomes too big, no fewer people will be unique, and we will have more people to feed.
And the biggest problem: If we have clones of actual people, the DNA is cloned too right? Well what is a deadly virus like the west Nile Virus, or even as extreme as a mild Black Death occurs, all those clones are at risk, because they all heave equal chance to get infected.

You guys are all like "yea cloning humans is good" or "We can use there organs" Actually you cant, If you clone someone there Genes and blood cells could be totally different. Goto google and search it abit or read the story about dolly the sheep that was cloned, she died in 17 or 27 years (cant remember) of premuture aging.. she died half the age as a normal sheep. If you clone a human they might be disabled in a big way. God put you on life threw your mother, If you were cloned would God love you?.. he didnt intend for you to be on earth if you were cloned. Would you even be considered a human..? who knows.

Do i have to repeat this 1,000 times? If god didn't want us to clone he wouldn't have given us the freaking ability to be able to. So stop say "OMG WE WOULD LIKE BE PLAYING GOD". Dont put god into this convo anymore. We don't even have proof he exists.

I Actually agree with you on. Being a clone? what would it actually feel like.
And i all this happened i think it would turn into slavoury and people would use clones as trash. And somthing like this would start happening so im against it i guess. But then again it would be cool.

No, it shouldn't. Someone gets in a car accident, let's just clone them a new heart, and then kill off the rest that we don't need to use? That is exactly what would happen. You seem to think only good would come of it, do you know how many bad things would happen because of this as well?

Do you want to wake up one day and see 20 other people who look exactly like you? I wouldn't, but if cloning is allowed, that is eventually where it will take us. People will be creating their idea of a "perfect" child, rather than let the miracle of birth be enough for them.

Secondly, you'd be creating people only to take parts of them away and kill the remaining off.

Thirdly, how if we mass produced clones, to be basically slaves, do what we don't want to. They'd be seen as lower or inferior even though they are exactly the same as us. It'd be a mass genocide just waiting to happen.

On a final note, your attitude of "technology is changing the world and so must we" is exactly the REASON why the world is the way it is today. People think just because we know more somehow morals and ethics shouldn't be valued. Opinions like that are exactly why the world is how it is.

Don't let the world change you, change the world.

You have to decide what human rights we give to clones.

If you harvest them for organs, you're denying them life, liberty, and property. And that wouldn't be fair.

Then again, if you follow religion, all cloned people would be without sin - as they have no parents. If you kill them, they'll shoot straight up to heaven.

All cloned people would be without sin? Where did you even get the slightest idea of that.

People shouldn't be cloned in the first place, and there has never been anything discussed about that.

Original sin passes through the father.
But you touch on the part that wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

i agree 100%, u can never justify killing someone to allow someone else to live its just not our place. and now adays it really does seem that we can do anything with technoligy and just disregard ethics....its just not right

Dorito, what if you could just clone the heart, and no other part of the human?
