Sythescape Beta Bugs

Some more bugs:

- Hari NPC at home drop table display doesn't function.
- Scoreboard at home doesn't function.
- Tablet creator at home doesn't function.
- Couldn't test gambling chest as it said I'm not a member, dev might wanna test this one.
- Search function in bank is very glitchy.
- Crystal chest offers some strange loot sometimes, e.g. an addy 2h + uncut ruby, 2 grimy herbs, etc.

 

Where do I play?

 

- When redwoods are chopped the broken redwood looks bugged, like its just been rotated and not destroyed. You can still cut these rotated redwoods. (gif attached: Gyazo - 655300490e4ae75c5745d8e4f4a1b7c8.gif )
- I deleted the deposit box at the woodcutting guild/training spot bank by lighting a redwood fire next to it, it also glitched me inside it before deleting.

More fuckin bugs:
- If you don't come at an agility obstacle perpendicularly it won't attempt the obstacle or correct its pathing it will just sit there.
- On Rope Swing in Wilderness Course when clicked on it makes the player walk 3 steps away from the center tile and stands there. Player has to be right infront of swing to interact.
- Longrange Style does not reward def xp.

1. Cant use Esc to close stores

2. Magic potion (4) is free but when you sell them back they are 3654gp each but go 1 by 1 into the free slot again.

3. space bar cant be used to skip through dialoge someone else mentioned.

4. when opening the mystery box and try clicking "purchase more credits" nothing happens.

5. no new prayers added yet (hopefully will be?)

6. viewing the scoreboard does nothing.

7. when entering wilderness resourse the door stays permantly open.

8. the lever in the wild gives left click option "info player-owned shops" right click says "Edit Shop" and "Explore shops" but still teles the player to Ardy lever.

9. when "clan setup" is opened bank pin management opens along with it.

10. Possible to have auto-path added so you can move around objects to get were you clicked on the minimap instead of having to manually nagigate obsticles/corners?

11. not able to catch dragon implings barehand and no chatbox giving requirements needed just continutes to follow it.

12. Entered/exited wilderness agility arena x10 times each and had 0 fall's not sure if intentional, same with other agility courses 0% fall rate.

27. a G.E? (player run after a certain amount of wealth has been distributed from it?) no idea how to get high level gear atm as it's beta and everything is either bought with credits/sythegold which cant be used yet/mage points/achievement/prestige points? Far to much currency imo.

I compiled a "useful item" list for beta testers Pm me if you want it, consist's of pvm armour/weapons/equipment/pots.

 

As you can see in the following video, I couldn't attack these goblins while in Bandos stronghold. I was doing it for a bit and all of a sudden it just stopped working and gave me that message in chat. I could kill other goblins though.

 

I guess this video asks part of my question best, followed by would that be the reason SS is laggy?

Got online, walked around and tested some things, didn't have much time but got those written down. Hope it helps, will probably hop back on when I have some more time!

- Make spacebar an hotkey to skip conversations

- Make it so you can scroll in and out while holding down your mousewheel + scroll up/down

- Adding bank placeholders would be an nice addition

- Make it so you can close the bank with Escape

- When you X out a shop, it has a small delay before actually closing the interface.

- When talking to certain NPC's (for example the Sythescape Guard) there are some minor grammar issues: Gyazo - 0d3f0f6c9efd1e087e40fd8f7af99191.png The i's should be in captial letters.

- When talking to the Sythescape Guard it still says "Vencillio Guard" in the interface: Gyazo - 46567debefc4fb910cf58993425e06df.png

- Some more grammar mistakes at the Sythescape Guard: Gyazo - 67c544c6273e452501a9f850a2a85b47.png (Double space between "First" and "go", remove the "you" between "to" and "Sythe.org", add "on" between "click" and "your", missing a dot after the sentence.

- At Lizardman shamans, they currently only have a magic attack which can be prayed at all times. This should be a ranged attack instead of magic attack. They also lack an attack where the jump into the sky and try to jump ontop of you, you do have time to run away from the spot you were standing on previously. Lizardman attacks

• A green acidic attack that will deal 25-30 damage. Wearing tiers 1-4 Shayzien armour will reduce the damage of this attack greatly. It can also poison the player starting at 10 damage.
  • Wearing a full set of tier 5 Shayzien armour will reduce this damage to 0.
• A jump attack that targets a small area where the player was previously standing on. If the player is in that landing area when the shaman crashes down, they will be dealt with 20-25 unblockable damage.
• It may summon several small purple spawns that appear next to the player. After a few seconds, the spawns will explode. The damage dealt is anywhere from 5-10 depending on the player's proximity next to them; their explosion covers a 5x5 area.

• From: Lizardman shaman

- Lizardman shamans also don't have a drop table yet (I assume) killed around ~15 and haven't received a single loot (nothing at all, no bones, nothing).

- The toxic blowpipe can hold more than 2146m darts at a time, this should be corrected to 16,383 darts, the scales are correct.

- You can't unload your darts from the toxic blowpipe, when you dismantle it while having darts inside, they will get destroyed.

- The toxic blowpipe has a dismantle option which gives you the tanzanite fang back, this should give you 20,000 zulrah scales instead. (Also add a warning message if a player wants to do this)

- The tanzanite fang has a dismantle option.

- When fighting the Skeleton Trio, you don't get aggro'd by all the 3 skeletons, so it's easly safespottable with prayers. The zone is also single-way combat Gyazo - 5e7fc5ebf237b0acf6a6318fc8bd8b0e.gif

- All the bosses from the boss portal are all really easy, you can just pray them all without taking any damage, I would make them a bit more complicated with different attack styles.

- Zulrah only has one phase where he ranges, make it fully functional if possible.

- The giant mole can dig himself under the ground, but it doesn't teleport him away.

Had a little play around whilst doing some afk orders. Looks like it could be a great server - the teleports/interfaces/prestige system/rewards all look nice imo. I realise a lot of the bugs below have probably been brought up already. However, just thought I'd write everything down, rather than looking to see if it had already been reported every time I found something. Will be hopping on again but these are just a few things I found in my initial experience:
