Overwatch Boring

I feel like this game is slowly dying, or at least for me. I have no motivation to play at all since the reward system is not good at all. I have to try-hard every season to only get a spray and some points that im going to end up spending in a hero i don't really use.

Content-wise i feel like the game does not really have that many options. We get like a new hero and a map every 3 months. There's only 22 heroes or so and how many are meta? 10? Not only that but this season was tank meta which makes it even worse. If i look at the team comps and ranks at the beginning of my games i know which team is going to win.

I don't know maybe i just need to take a break or wait till the new season starts.

Is anyone else getting bored of Overwatch and feels like the game is not putting enough content for their players? Or is it just me?

 

They just came out with a completely custom game-making system this game is not dying at all it's one of the most active and constantly-changing games out there right now

 

Yea, I started to get a little bored of it. But I still have a ways to climb unlike you, I guess. Also the new server browser + custom game settings look very fun.

 

I have been away from OW for like 2-3 weeks. Did that just come out? That sounds cool btw

 

I haven't played in a few days either I think it either just came out or it's on the PTR

I have like 580 hours in OW and got pretty boring cause i played it to much, What i can suggest is switching it off with the game Paladins i realy enjoy playing that game besides OW cause i will main that game over paladins for competitive reasons..

 

The new custom serer maker is going to be insane. Go look at some of the videos covering it on YouTube.

There are going to be an endless amount of game modes.

 

I find the game to be boring now a days mainly due to the reliance on your team.
All it takes is one idiot to ruin the game, along with the quitters.

I find myself frustrated after playing numerous games in a row that someone quits half way through and then you sit there and just face the impending loss. The new suspension system is alright but it doesn't really curb the habit.

My other issue is you'll have those idiots that are trash widows, hanzos or genjis and are getting scraped and refuse to switch due to their strategy clearly not working. After asking them to switch (nicely) they proceed to raaaage like a 3rd grader who's toy just got stolen.

I think I'll find my way back to the game in the future but for now unless there are some major changes to match making, I'll keep my distance

 

It is really frustrating. The worst is when you ask someone to switch because they are getting countered and they refuse, and when asked why they don't want to switch they start to trash talk you.

Having said that, the other team have the same chance as you of getting a retard on their team .

 

I don't think the game is dying, but the community slowed down after Autumn hit. I'd assume a lot of the game's audience is people who are in university or school, which would possibly explain the drop in activity.

 

Meh, the audience that is left is young kids who rage and scream into the microphone or just troll which leads to a serious lack in actual strategy and useful conversation

 

I tend not to play it too much to avoid that problem of getting bored, I especially still love to play competitive regardless of the reward system

 

Luckily you rarely get those anymore after you hit 4k SR. I get one trash hanzo maybe every 10-15 matches now which is great.

I also really dislike the fact that they made it so you have to play a game every day to avoid decay. I am not consistent with the game like that. Also if i do not remain in top 500 i won't get shit this season.

What i'll do is i'll play on my smurf till there's maybe 2 weeks left and then play my placements on main and try to grind to the top again.

Either way the only way this game is fun now is if i play it with my friends on voice.

 

I only ever play the game now if one of my friends wants to play with me.. Around 3k SR solo queue is just way to unreliable and some of the people you get on a team just ruins it for me. It's not dreadful around there, but the one thing I notice is that nobody knows how to DPS properly down there and it makes everything harder and less fun for me. Other than that, it's a good game but I take breaks fairly often.

 

This game gets old quick. After you take a break for ahilw it becomes fun for another day or two.

 

I played the beta, Loved it, played it 24/7.

Bought the game.

Played it two times and never touched it again.

Mostly because my Ps4 controllers are all broken from my baby cousins. And so the only game I play is Rocket League because I can remap the buttons to working ones and still play.

 

I was bored within like two weeks of playing. It's like everything that bored me about TF2 repeated over.

Definitely more fun with friends though.

Same i loved it at fist and now just seems repetitive with not really much skill

 

Haven't played OW in ages
