I got it on my Samsung S7 EDGE , it's so freaking fast with unlocking. I like it very much.

comes in handy when the other hand is occupied or you're just being lazy so you can put your thumb/finger i use thumbs so the hand i'm holding the phone with can unlock it without the need of the other hand :)

but as said a bit of moisture and it goes nuts lol

definitely works for the better though

If you have anything such as a crumb on your finger it won't unlock your phone. gets annoying sometimes.

I have the "latest and greatest New iPhone" and it doesn't seem to work very well. Especially when there is a temperature change or I have grease on my fingers from eating.

I kind of expected this, but it's tragic when I wanna text and drive on the way home from work :/

I have it, I don't use it though honestly for me it's just as easy to type in a 4 digit password. It may take a few seconds longer but I never have to worry about it messing up.

I'm so used to it now that typing in the pass code seems like such a hassle to me

    Fingerprint recognition on phones

When the iPhone 5S came out I got it pretty quickly, not for the fingerprint scanner but because I needed an upgrade from my previous phone, I didn't even realise it had the feature, I used it maybe twice and that was about it. I still use iPhones but I won't use the scanner, I just stick to the old fashioned ridiculously hard to remember pin code.

My friend uses a mushroom stamp to unlock his phone. I'm going to let you guys use your imagination to guess what that means.

    Fingerprint recognition on phones

My iPhone 5s had a lot of trouble with finger print recognition. So much so to the point that I had to orient my finger in a specific position to get it to read. I enabled it on my new iPhone SE and it works like a charm!

My finger print recognition is garbage on my iphone.

I don't understand why I can't just slide to unlock and enter my pin if needed, instead of dicking around with the fingerprint for 10 seconds to get it to fail and make me enter my pin anyways.

At my workplace they require phones to be locked with either fingerprint or password, PIN and pattern isn't allowed. I figured I couldn't be bothered to type in a password everytime and decided to try out fingerprint, works perfectly on Galaxy S7

Samsung has the worst fingerprint sensor, let me give you a few examples.

I go wash my hands, dry them, fingerprint not recognized just because of a little moisture.

On an iphone, it recognizes it even when wet (iphone 7).

I really like the concept but it doesn't seem to work very well, at least on the HTC Bolt I'm currently using. I think I'd still rather stick to pass input.

Wet fingers prove annoying on the galaxy s8 as well as the fact I have to pick up the phone to scan my finger if it's face up as the scanner is on the back.

Apparently the new iPhone is doing away with it completely in favor of a facial recognition type of scan that can scan even at normal angles with speeds similar to a fingerprint scanner.
