    Rep points or karma points

There is a vBulletin mod called iTrader, just install that, could be useful in the black market, you need to supply the link to the thread and write up feedback for the public, and a separate one for the person and mod, it works at Fagex, so why wouldn't it work here, abuse of it is VERY obvious, although the reputation system is so simple yet so superior, just limit who can give reputation and there will be limited abuse, abusers can be punished with a 2 point infraction that doesn't expire, and a permanent ban the second time around.

But then again, Sythe has been known for having a limited amount of forum mods and this idea will probably not even be considered by Sythe or staff, before the abuse in late 2005, the reputation system was very popular and Sythe, and was rarely abused.

Thank you for the ones whos support :D

I've decided the only way it would work is mods controlled it. They're would be a new forum were you requested a +rep and why. Inturn this would be just liek a vouch.

Not really, it would just give them cause to report you for anything. Like as long as they remotely have a reason they will do it. Like on another forum I am on. I got demoted in rep for Telling someone that their account sucked. Yeah they got infractions but it still don't stop people.

The rep sythem would only be for black market trades. So, this doesn't apply.

On a side note. Could you'd you make your animated gif a smaller size? Every thread I view that you've posted in is slow becuase of it.

You have to understand if a 'feedback' system was put in place it would be open to abuse.

People could get thier friends to post good feedback. People could fake trades in order to get good feedback, along with all sorts of things.

I understand this. But, I also think its just as easy to make fake vouches and stibk them in your signature.

Not really. Just click the link in the quote and read the thread..
If someone is creating their own vouches its usually discovered in no time at all.

    Ehh, you're right.

I guess you can't have nice things on forums mass populated by 13-years-olds.

I don't know why, but I'm repelled from Reputation Points.

There's something I don't like about them at all.

This would be cool so we don't need vouches then.:) And it always should be verified by a moderator so the person isn't making multiple accounts to give rep for himself:)

-One or two hour limits. (Maybe even days.)
    -One per IP.
There, you would have stopped about 50-60% of the abuse, or even more because of sythe's anti proxy scripts

    Bad idea for many reasons.

    1) I too have been on many fourms who use karma, and it CONSTANTLY gets abused. After so much, people ignore it completely because more than half of the time, the karma of a person doesn't reflect them TO THE SLIGHTEST EXTENT making it useless.

    2) There would never be enough moderators in the world to go around and ban abusers and remove karma or add it. First, there would be thousands of karma points awarded daily, it'd be impossible to look at each one or even look at ones people might report.

Secondly, there'd be so many spam posts about REMOVE MY NEG KARMA, HE ABOOSED MEH!!! MODS, MODS COME LOOK!, it wouldn't even be funny. Or the amount of spam messages on MSN they'd get solely for the purpose of removing or adding karma.

    3) It was used before, and abused badly, then it was changed so only moderators could add or subtract karma. That worked badly as well, it wasn't abused, it was quite the opposite, it was barely used, as the amount of trades moderators actually deal with themselves is very little, giving them very little reason to rep people.

The only way I could EVER see this having a chance at surviving more than a week would be to make it Forum Addicts(500) or Gurus(1,000) and higher ONLY! Anyone lower could only see it and not use it.

Even at that though it could be abused, or it could encourage spam. In the end, I just don't think it'd ever work properly or give people an accurate picture of the history of someone or what they are like, or even help in the slightest way in some cases.

You mean the Itrader system. It's used by Ebay.

However this is a good idea, on a forum the size of Sythe it comes with many risks of abuse. I believe until further CUSTOM developing has taken place, this is not a good idea.
