    [English Football]Premier League & Championship

    Hello,

Not sure how many football followers we have on this forum but it's coming to the end of the season and wondered what are your final predictions for the Premier League, top 6 overall? Also, I mainly follow Championship football considering I support Villa and despite it basically being guaranteed we finish outside the top 6 and a playoff place it's still interesting.

    Premier League Prediction:

    1) Chelsea - Despite having a much harder set of fixtures, I think they'll win the league with a 3 - 6 point margin by the end.
    2) Tottenham - Getting close to the title again and I think it's only a matter of time before they do get a major trophy but not this year.
    3) Manchester City - I think the game in hand they have on Liverpool, the similar set of 'easier' fixtures and how they perform when against easier opponents will give them the edge.
    4) Liverpool - They'll claim the final spot with Manchester United falling just short. They have a good set of fixtures remaining but they will drop points as.. it's Liverpool where the easier fixtures become a struggle when they shouldn't be.
    5) Manchester United - Just short of the Champions League places but it's easily possible that they'll get through by winning the Europe League and that'll be their primary focus.
    6) Arsenal - Everton will be on their tail but they'll still clinch 6th in a disappointing season.

    Championship Prediction:

    1) Brighton - With Newcastle dropping points against Leeds today, as long as they don't fuck up the title will the theirs. They have harder remaining fixtures but shouldn't prove too difficult. Obviously they'll lose to Villa ;).
    2) Newcastle - Just shy on Brighton by the end but they're guaranteed promotion which is all the matters. Easy fixtures to finish up.
    3) Hudderfield - They have a hard set of fixtures ahead with some difficult away days but they'll still clinch third and the game in hand helps :). I don't see them doing much in the playoffs but I could be wrong.
    4) Leeds - Easy set of fixtures and the team most likely to up via the playoffs.
    5) Sheffield Wednesday - Some hard fixtures but with Reading's form and grabbing some points from the games they'll stay in the playoffs. I don't see them going up in the playoffs but they've been scrapping points all season so could be wrong.
    6) Fulham - I'd like to see Fulham go up into the playoffs, Reading have been awful and Fulham have looked strong most of the season but you can never be sure what you're going to get. Some games they just rip their opponents apart and others, it's being done to them but I fancy them. Could be playoff contenders.

    Thoughts and your predictions?

I'll predict Stoke to fall further into trouble after their upcoming games against other clubs in trouble in Swansea and Hull

I'd like to see Stoke stay up, I doubt they'll go down considering the quality they have and how poor the teams below them are. Swansea have been iffy in recent years and will most likely go down to his year or next. Hull I think have done well considering the issues with their club.

They are all but safe now mate, my post was before last game week. They beat Hull and are now 9 points off the drop.

    Sunderland obviously.
Boro cant score a goal so them too
Next one is more favored to be Swansea because they have a hard run. Hull have an easier run and I think Marco Silva is okay.
Only other one is probably Palace because they have a tough run.

Also FA cup semis this weekend, looking forward to the occasion against the Chelski. Maybe the fact we are classed as the away team fixed our Wembley form from Europe this season?

Sunderland have no chance, finally going down. Been dodging it for season upon season.

I hope Boro' stay up as I think they've been fairly unlucky and invested well but it's pretty much guaranteed they'll go down as well.

Finally, Swansea are gone too as realisticly I only see them getting points from 1 of their remaining games whilst Hull have plenty of opportunities.

First of all, fuck you for having Leeds still in there.
    No one likes Leedscum.

But realistically, it will be really hard for them to miss out on the playoffs this term, especially with Wednesday/Fulham on the last day.
I think Fulham need to continue their form to advance. That and, well, they need to capitalize on their dominating possessions numbers. None of the teams, currently, in the playoff are truly "scary", though Reading always plays us tough.

    We'll see.

Will be an entertaining watch to see if Newcastle can hold onto their automatic spot with their poor recent form. If they fall into playoffs I'd be tipping them to lose - what a story that would be... maybe it's how it's meant to be with the Sunderland going down...

They're playing well for a championship team, I don't like them but they're a contender if they can improve their form towards the end of the season. As for Fulham you might fall just short but I hope you take Wednesday's place.

All their fans have been talking complete bolocks the entire season. I am hoping they lose it and stay in the championship next season. Be good to have Villa with Newcastle again as I think we'll be actual contenders and there's a bit of rivalry there.

I think you're forgetting but just to point out Sunderland will be going down so will be Tyne Wier if Newcastle stay there.

I know it's a big derby between then in the North East but as a Villa supporter there is a big rivalry between us too.

Since you're Villa maybe we should discuss the game tomorrow then against Blues?

If we lose at home and considering the state of their club currently I'll be livid.

I'd love Newcastle to fall to third.
Hey, maybe they'd finally score a goal against Fulham.

Watching your lot against the terriers now. Wagner got their Germans going to well. Penalty 4 mins in doesn't do much for confidence.
