Surface Pro Vs Small Laptop of Equal Power

I'm looking to investing for a laptop or a surface pro that I can take to classes with me. Has anyone used a Surface Pro before and can give me an actual Pros/Cons of it vs having a laptop of the same size and power?

 

its a tablet and the battery is internal of the tablet rather than the keyboard, so it will get hot to touch if you plan to game. surface pros are premium, laptops (most of them) are not as premium. spec wise for performance, a smaller laptop equal to the cost of a surface pro will be better, but again you're paying for the premium feel of a surface. portability really isn't an issue for any laptop as far as i know unless you're using the full 17 inch gaming laptops which require like 2 battery plug ins.

if thats the laptop with the borderless screen thats a good choice, i think the biggest screen size was like 3000 x 1800 for the xps, very good laptop as i used one before, beautiful screen but i only got to use the 1920 x 1080

 

Yeah I got it from Best Buy it was originally 1399.99 but open box for 959.00
