Disney vs Pixar: Which is the better studio?

I was having a debate with my friend and he believes that Disney is better than Pixar as a whole animation studio. I know that Pixar is owned by Disney but they're two separate studios producing their own kind of content in a way.

He argues that Disney has been there for longer and had much more of an impact and while i agree with this, i feel like half of their content is not even that good compared to Pixar. Quality over quantity.
This also may come down to a matter of personal taste as i really don't seem to dislike any of the Pixar movies (except "Inside out" that thing was garbage).

Movies like Toy Story are just absolute masterpieces and i don't think anything that Disney has ever made comes close to a movie like that. The only thing that has come really close for me was Zootopia.

I would like people's opinions on this. Which studio has had a bigger impact on you? Which one do you consider to be better and why.
